Quick question for the movie soundtrack buffs... How is the Michael Giacchino soundtrack? Does he blend in well with John Williams work or do we not hear the familiar Star Wars cues?
Honestly. I did not even notice the soundtrack all that much. There was so much going on and things to look at. I wish I had noticed it a bit more. But the fact that I didn't notice it could have been because I was so fully immersed in the attraction, that it just added to the experience.

So guess it looks like they completely ditched ACE after all of that
ACE is still in the attraction, but only in CGI, I guess I need to revise my OP. I called him REX.
The people mover tunnel has been blacked out. The lady with the crazy hair is in the video where they show guests boarding the vehicles, she is the first person closest to the camera. She has her same crazy hair style.
I was hoping against hope. So glad to here the crazy hair woman is back. I don't know why, but she makes the ride...
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
k_peek_2000's review is pretty much perfect. The queue is roughly the same, except for the upgraded screen and new details. The x-ray machine is really cool. I held up the line for a while just to watch. The cabins are the same and everything feels quite familiar. I also agree that it was smoother than the original, rather than jerky. The 3-D and storyline is superb and felt longer than the original (even if it's not--I don't know the ride length).
Overall, I'd say this is a super-plussed attraction rather than just a plussed attraction. Can't wait to experience the different destinations and characters. 9/10 as well from me.
Thank you for sharing more minuscule details such as how C3PO gets in the Starspeeder. Question: how much of ACE do you actually see? Is he just in the pre-show video for ten seconds and that's it?
You see him in the main queue room, where they introduce the new droids on the screen. Where they talk about his new features and what not. Then you see him again in the pre-show where C3PO and him talk for a few moments and then get switches. You basically see him just enough to know what is going on.
