Re: Star Tours: The Adventures Continue Views and Reviews
They didn't really look much like either of those. (referring to the pictures of the glasses above) But definitely better than Toy Story or Capt. EO glasses. The glasses however sure don't seem to be super expensive or anything.
Here they are...Idk, maybe kinda?

Re: Star Tours: The Adventures Continue Views and Reviews
Hi. Thanks to those who have posted reviews.
Question: how are Han Solo and Princess Leia done in the ride? Are they younger CGI versions of Harrison Ford and Princess Leia like Jeff Bridges was done as 1980s Flynn in Tron Legacy? Do Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher voice their characters?
Re: Star Tours: The Adventures Continue Views and Reviews
Princess Leah in the version I saw was the little video that R2D2 Projected in the original movie "Help me Obiwan, you're our only hope..." but with different words that were specific to the story line of the ride. So...yeah - about 30 or so years old? and yes, it sounded like Carrie Fisher.
Re: Star Tours: The Adventures Continue Views and Reviews
When I rode it yesterday, 40% of the peeps standing in line were taking pics... Not sure why none have popped up on here. I was good and kept my camera in my pocket...
Re: Star Tours: The Adventures Continue Views and Reviews
Most of people are afraid of getting a letter from Disney telling them how very very disappointed they are at them.
Re: Star Tours: The Adventures Continue Views and Reviews
Honestly, as much as I LOVE (normally) to see advance pics and video, its not worth losing your job or getting into trouble for. I mean in litterally a few days the ride will be open, in Florida, and it will all be out anyway. There is going to be tons and tons of pics and video everywhere and both the exact same design minus the exterior. If people can wait two years, you can wait a few weeks.
Anyway I posted this earlier, but I think it was erased, so asking it again:
About the new queue vs old queue, which do people like better? I know the new queue will look more modern and sleek, but just in terms of direction which one is better in your opinion? I've seen no pics, but reading up on it, it sounds pretty cool!

The cast member for my flight said they were safety glasses to protect from solar flares.

Old was a Robot and ship repair bay
New is more to a airport or Space port that you are going on a trip.
With bag check and Security check before you get on board.
I think that Disney add more thing that will keep you look at and may keep you entertain in the queue.
Hope the video and scrip do not run out and repeat when inline.
that was only thing I did not like the ole Queue line it repeat to fast and you see the same video and line about three time or more.

I wonder if they just weren't turned on or working properly. They did move their heads periodically but not often. It started off as two Mon Cal Officers but one of them was moved to the Overflow queue at some point.
Now both of them are in the main queue once again.

I couldnt help but think of Team America when you said this :) but back to Star Tours, looking forward to it when I'm in Florida in December!
Re: Star Tours: The Adventures Continue Views and Reviews
I didn't think anyone would figure it out! :D
Re: Star Tours: The Adventures Continue Views and Reviews
Okay everyone,
Disney just released a 'teaser' trailer of some of the destinations you will see in the ride. Its only a few seconds each but you get the idea of what each of the segments will look like:

Couldnt help BUT to click lol. But yeah a lot of it looks REALLY cool!! The video is two minutes and YES, lots of spoilers!!
Oh and there are videos of the queue as well done through E.T. Havent looked at them, but they are on youtube as well.
Re: Star Tours: The Adventures Continue Views and Reviews
[Minor spoiler!]
I was actually scheduled to ride Star Tours with other leads and trainers yesterday (yay for getting paid to ride rides!! :D) and I noticed something that I'm surprised no one else has mentioned. Several people were wondering if the safety spiel girl was still in the ride, and I read other's saying that she may or may not have been seen as one of the passengers in the buckling instructions, but I could have SWORN that she was the lady who appeared on the side screen asking why we were in a particularly bad area. (Sorry, I've actually never watched Star Wars (shame on me :() so I can't identify any lands) She had a helmet on, but the parts of her face that you could see looked just like her! I wonder if anyone else can make the connection?
Re: Star Tours: The Adventures Continue Views and Reviews
The highlight reel shows what fun the ride is but also shows how absurd it is that we're in a spaceship and inside a podrace for that long. hahahaha
As many have said already, gotta throw all logic out the window.
