I know there was another rationalization for Hoth that there was another battle in the EU set on the planet or one that looked VERY similar.

Just got back from our trip to Disneyland. We were able to ride it three times. Our last day we got our fastpass at 1030 AM. It had a return time of 1125PM. It was a little busy. We find it funny that people are saying that they havent been able to see Coruscant. We finished there all three times.
Our first run was perfect for my oldest daughter. She is highfunctioning Autistic and is obsessed with Star Wars. Darth (her fave character) and Hoth (her fave movie). My other daughter was the rebel spy on our second trip. I loved the new ride and can't wait until the next trip.

After coming back from my Disneyland trip I have to say that I really enjoyed Star Tours. The fact that you never really experience the same ride twice is amazing. One of my favorite sequences had to of been Coruscant with the pod racing and when crash into the ocean of Naboo. I can't wait to go back and see what else there is to see.

I just noticed that there's almost an homage to Back To The Future - the ride.

In the Naboo one, when you're hit an the starspeeder is teetering before falling in the glass pit, 3PO says nobody moves followed by 'Everybody leans backward'. The almost exactly identical sequence and dialogue happened in BTTF-The ride it seems (I saw it again recently on YouTube).

Anyway, might be complete coincidence of course

They do that in Mission Space too.

Good point, I remember that too now

However, I think BTTF-The Ride is the older one of the three.

I guess it is becoming a running joke for simulator rides !

    That's on Hoth, not Naboo.

So I must have the worse of luck. I've been on Star Tours now 3 times and each time I've honestly have gotten the EXACT SAME ride. Kinda makes me upset lol. Everytime has been Robot-Tattooine-Ackbar-Asteriod/Death Star. Like really every time lol is it really random, like what are the odds.

Re: Star Tours: The Adventures Continue Views and Reviews

So I'll admit I haven't read this thread at all except the first and last page, but has anyone found out anything about how the rebel spy is chosen? My friend's theory was that they pick little kids, but then one time they chose this old lady and then the last time they chose me (I'm 18). I was in Gate D, front row (Row 5) and 3rd seat in from the left side of the screen. I was making funny faces once I sat down, through the boarding spiel by the CM, and up until the lights were dimmed and the ride began, and one of my weird faces was taken.

My guess based on the 4 times I've ridden the new ST is that it's just a random thing. I think the operator has some limited control, if only to override when an empty seat is randomly chosen.

    Just a guess . . .
