Amazing trip To DLR for my girlfriends birthday!!

My girlfriends birthday was on Sunday and why not surprise her on her day of birth with a whole day of Disneyland. The only difference this time I told her to pack her bags because we were going to stay the night for once. But that was one of my surprises to make her day magical. I must say it was a great day especially since with all of her family troubles earlier in the week. First thing we did was checked into our room, which I was so happy about. Having AP pass i thought they would give us a alright room since we got 40% off on Sunday night but was i wrong. It was beautiful. The bed was awesome and so comfortable. But then we found this little gem on the night stand next to the bed. and bam the whole back wall lights up into little lights. A great touch and even has a little lullaby song it sings to you for about 30 seconds. Not going to lie I slept with those little lights on all night . knowing i paid just a nickel compared to others in the hotel, i automatically thought i would be looking over the construction area by the pool or maybe even a parking lot, but they were great too accommodate the birthday. A nice little view of the hat on one of the corner rooms which also looked onto downtown disney. Also great little details all over the room. Now off to the park. I must say getting the birthday button is great, so many people are so welcoming and constantly saying happy birthday to you all day. Even got the lady at Indiana Jones to sing happy birthday with the rest of the line.

After a little while at the park i headed back to the room for my next surprise for my girlfriend. I had the DLR make her a cake and deliver to the room while we were at the park. She was so happy when she walked through the door and they did a awesome job on the cake. I must say the red velvet cake was delicious.





After a little rest in the room headed back to the park for some more rides and a lovely dinner at Blue Bayou. Once again they Disney outdid themselves and gave us waterfront seating. And ended the night with fantasmic.



Helping out with the estimated time of the ride of Indiana Jones.






All in all it was a great trip and she absolutely loved her birthday. Hope you enjoyed our little trip.

aw that's so sweet! and all of those surprises were very thoughtfull!! coincidentally, my boyfriend surprised me with a mini trip to disneyland and stay at the grand californian this past weekend for my birthday too! so i'm sure your girlfriend had an amazing time since i did!!!

I went to DL yesterday, and your trip report makes me want to return immediately. The Grand Californian is a dream come true, for sure, and the perfect place for a night at DL.
