Re: What's your favorite place to eat at DLR/DCA?

The top floor seating area of the Hungry Bear is one of my favorite places in all of DL, so yeah it's one of my favorite restaurants. My number ONE favorite is Cafe Orleans. I also love Plaza Inn for pasta and salad, and Riverbelle Terrace for breakfast (hello Mickey Mouse pancakes!). I have yet to eat at Carnation Cafe, but it's one that I really want to try.

As far as snacks go...Dole Whip, mint julep, churro. In that order.

I really don't have any attachment to any of the places in DCA, but I've been meaning to try Wine Country Trattoria and I look forward to trying the new restaurants.

If Downtown Disney counts, we love Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen and eat there often.

Got the Tiki Room Dole pineapple ice cream the other day for the first time. Now I understand why there's that line all the time!

Storyteller's Cafe in the Grand Californian was the most amazing bread I've ever had, and a great meal, and I hope sometime I'll get to go with the girl who recommended it to me.

I love the French Market. Not sure about the menu right now but the atmosphere has been a favorite of mine for years. Food wise Carnation Cafe and Cafe Orleans have wonderful menus.

Every year, my friends and I do a trip to Disneyland. The first year we ate dinner at The Orleans Cafe and W-O-A-H! We seriously thought that one of us was getting voted out of the van and we were going to be taking home a CM (the service was outstanding, even by Disney standards it was above and beyond).

As our group as grown, we have done lunch at Blue Bayou, the food has been great and the atmosphere is top notch. Last year I ate at River Belle Terrace and was quite impressed, nice and casual.

Coke Corner- Jalapeno Cheese Pretzel. Can't resist!

At Disneyland, I usually enjoy Plaza Inn for food since they have good Pasta and Cobb Salad.

At DCA, it's the Lucky Fortune resteraunt. I love thier food and I have a strange fascination with Fortune Cookies.

The information at the link is accurate. I can add a few details.

Live entertainment all day starting at 11:30 am when the park closes at 8:00 pm, starting about 12:15 when the park closes later.

Childrens' prices are for ages 3-9, under 3 is free, 10 and over are adults. The vegetarian option is skewers which have tofu, red potatoes, one or two kinds of squash, onions, bell peppers, and usually mushrooms. The sides are all vegetarian (yes, the beans are vegetarian) - the cornbread is not vegan, as it contains cheese.

Gluten free: The ribs are not gluten free - something in the smoking process adds wheat products. Also, the cornbread is not gluten free. The other items are, but you should ALWAYS speak to the Chef to make sure everything is prepared and served to meet your needs.

The coleslaw is not the creamy coleslaw you are used to seeing - it uses a vinaigrette dressing and is VERY tasty.

Post any other questions you have, and I'll try to answer them.

We really like the Carnation Plaza tucked into Main Street. Their Chicken Club Croissant is nice. Blue Bayou for atmosphere and Jambalaya. Hungry Bear to sit and watch the boats and canoes go by.

Pacific Wharf bread bowls for DCA.

Hidden Mickey - Historical fiction about Walt that mixes action and mystery with time travel and fantasy! Tweens to adults will enjoy these novels. And now, three gamebooks to play in Disneyland, DCA and WDW Magic Kingdom!

Check out my six action/adventure novels about Walt's lost diary and his epic quest. Visit my blog page!

The Plaza Inn is the best place I've eaten in Disneyland. The dinner menu is not that greasy and has flavor. I've never tried breakfast there but it looks quite amusing.

We've settled down to the La Brea Bakery. It's been our go to restaurant for more than a few visits.
