The Adventures of the Gonzo Family and the Temple of the Defaulted Loan

I have just recently returned from the Full Family's second visit to Disneyland and it's time to Report some Trippin'. We began on 14 May and returned on 22 May. Our story begins in the dry desert air of El Paso:

Okay, You give me a bunch of Quarters, so, I can get smashed, unusable pennies...Deal?

We woke up early on Saturday to begin our six hour drive to Phoenix.

If I push my brain Hard enough, thoughts will appear

    Monkey See, Monkey Pick

It wasn't too bad, because we stopped just north of Tombstone to Visit Mrs. Gonzo's Monkle (That's her Uncle that is a Monk) at the Monastery in which he lives. It broke up the trip and gave us a nice rest.

He took a vow of bad fashion sense

We finally got to Phoenix, which i thought might not happen because, Apparently, Arizona's Department of transportation hates people and wants them to go mad on the one lane of highway they kept open. After finding out my car gets about a million inches to the gallon, we made it to our Hotel.

The children lay nestled in bed as visions of Dole Whips danced in their heads...wait, that was my head they were dancing in

We got up super early on Sunday morning to drive directly to the parks. And after a slight drizzle, and no less than four, count them, four overturned cars, we made it to Disneyland!

Okay, first stop the Peoplemo...oh, wait...Okay, we'll hit up the Country Bear Jam...really?...Fine, let's just watch the Electric Light...What's going on here?

More to come! That's what we call a Teaser in the Trip Report Business...Now, to figure out how to make money off of that.

Re: The Adventures of the Gonzo Family and the Temple of the Defaulted Loan

Our Family tradition is to Ride the Disneyland Railroad around the Park before heading in...So...Um...that's what we did...

Model Train, You're too small to ride, quit pretending you're a real train...sheesh

Looks a lot like Jabba on the sandskiff.

I guess we can take a picture of Mommy too.

We proceeded to hit the park. First stop, King Arthur's Carousel.

Attention: Security, we have a 10..a 30...Um, what's the code for a creepy guy on the carousel?

We then hit all the regulars. Pirates, Matterhorn, Big Thunder, Haunted Mansion, etc...etc...I just didn't really take any pictures of them...Um...I did get this nifty shot of a tire at the Jungle Cruise for some reason:

I'm so tired...hahahahahahaha...get it? Tired? because it's a tire...You have no sense of humor, people.

We also stopped at Big Thunder Ranch for lunch. Man, I love that place. It's Delicious, mostly quiet, the Bathrooms are top notch and the goats are clean.

    Where's your dynamite, little guy?

Finally, we were going to attempt watching the fireworks, but, it was windy and looked bleak, plus, the kids looked like this:

    Cookie...Sleep...Cookie...Sleep....hmmmm....Cookie !

Mrs. Gonzo always gets awkward pictures of me for some reason

    Derp.

That concludes day one in the parks...No really, there's nothing more to tell until day two. Seriously, all we did was go to the hotel and sleep...Leave me alone!

    More to come.

    Monday Morning:
    Me: Vash, Wake up!
    Vash: Myeah...wah
Me: Vash, you need to get ready
Vash: Auwerearaw! I want to sleep!
Me: But, we're going to have breakfast with Mickey
Vash: Meeeahuuurrr....huh? (Vash Pops up) Oh, yeah! I thought we were at home!

Our first stop on Monday was PCH Grill for Breakfast with Mickey and Friends and we did our first ride of the day! The Waiting Bench Ride! Yay!

This ride has a photo for it too!

Finally got in and ate breakfast...With Mickey and friends. We saw a few familiar Faces too:

    There was Madelyn Albright.

    Dame Judi Dench.

The kids got to Dance with Will Smith.

and in a surprise appearance, Miley Cyrus showed up...it was so cool.

That Miley can take a lot out of you

    We then Headed for DCA.

    More to come.

Re: The Adventures of the Gonzo Family and the Temple of the Defaulted Loan

    We walked to DCA:

Gasp! A Double Stroller?!?!?! Dun Dun Dunnnnnnn!

Vash was finally big enough for Grizzly River Run, so, He and I hit that while Mrs. Gonzo and Atticus hit Bug's land.

Look...The front side of water! HAHAHAHA...Nobody in the history of Micechat has ever made that joke before! HAHAHAHA I'm so witty.

Trust me, Daddy, It says You "may" get wet...that doesn't mean anything.

    meanwhile:

Mommy, Self portraits demean the both of us.

Well, I was completely soaked. turns out the raft turns towards the fat guy in the boat. Weeeee. We headed to Bugs land to meet the other half. Vash and Mrs. Gonzo hit Tower of Terror while I hung out with Atticus. We went on the Chew Chew Train.

Daddy, these self portraits are still Demeaning.

we then ran into Handy Manny.

Together we shall destroy Bob the Builder. He's only building his own Destruction...BWAHAHAHA

Vash and Mrs. Gonzo finished up and We did the parent swap for TOT and Vash and I went in.

The Mop did it! It's always the Mop!

Once done, we hit up Turtle Talk and all that stuff. The Zoetrope was awesome!

What's going on, man....I swear those statues were moving with the strobe, man...I'm freaking out!!!

    Even more to come

Re: The Adventures of the Gonzo Family and the Temple of the Defaulted Loan

Well, Soon after Turtle Talk, we decided to hit DL for some Space Mountain time...But, as we walked up to it, it broke down...yay! So, we walked over the the Subs and saw that it was only a 30 minute wait and jumped inline. We forgot that a 30 minute wait on the Subs means an hour and a half wait...Yay, again!

    Look...The underside of Water...HAHAHAHAhahahaha....meh.

Then it was a Hop, Skip, and a Jump away to Autopia...I'm not sure why we didn't just walk over there, and there were a lot of people staring...and it was hard to do while carrying the kids...Anywho...

You best be taking me on Autopia, Woman!

How cool is it that I drove 12 hours to get to Disneyland and ride a car! WEEEE!

We then, headed to Fantasyland to take in some of the Fantasy Faire. Ahem...yeah.

I have to wonder how that thing holds me up.

Soon after, Vash had a Hankerin' for Space Mountain...But, as we walked up to it...It broke down...Yay, yet another time! So, we hit the Matterhorn as Mrs. Gonzo and Atticus went to Toon Town.

alright, when does this trolley start moving?

Hey, there Pianoman...Just kidding, I hate Billy Joel

    Meanwhile:

The line's waiting, Dad, get that picture now!

We met back up at Mickey's House to get the Family pic:

Mickey Remembered me from last year, and took my new wallet. That mouse is tenacious.

It was close to Park Closing by then, so, we hit big thunder really quick and called it a day. I then had to conquer big Blister Mountain.

The Sun's going Down, and so am I...Yawn...

    More to come.

Day Two was begun at the Character Breakfast at Storytellers, and who should greet us at the door? None other than the Beibs!

Oh, Justin, I can see why all the girls swoon!

Curly Joe soon joined us for breakfast...

Now, this is where things turn Dark. From this point on, I believe that Chip and Dale were following us...The character Breakfasts from here on out may not be for the Faint of heart.

I believe now that he was not helping with the word search, but, in fact, planting a location device.

For some reason, he was really intent on getting a picture with our kids...Suspicious.

Luckily, Jeff Foxworthy showed up and scared them away.

With our Tummies full and our heads full of conspiracies, we headed to DL.

    More to come.

Re: The Adventures of the Gonzo Family and the Temple of the Defaulted Loan

Tuesday was rainy, so, we did what any Townie in a big city would do...We overpaid for Ponchos...Then, we checked out the Mary Blair exhibit. It was pretty sweet...suddenly, we looked into the other room and saw:

Vash took this picture of me

Larry King stopped by to enjoy the Model.

I ran in to Catch Great moments with Mr. Lincoln. Mrs. Gonzo and Vash hung around the Models.

Vash had a great time watching them try and make their shoes light up like his do.

Luckily, nobody realized they were there, so, we had them all to ourselves...When we looked out the door across the street was....CHIP AND DALE!!! They followed us! Quick! To Tomorrowland!

We, then, decided we'd finally catch Space Mountain, and when we walked up to it...It broke down...Yay! So, we went to Innoventions...Double Yay! Got a nice picture, though.

At this moment, El Paso has had 110 days without rain. It was so nice seeing some.

We figured that Astro Blasters couldn't hurt.

    pew pew!

Then, we decided to Check on Space Mountain and....It was open!

    Woo!

We parent swapped that ride so hard! Then headed out to Fantasyland for Casey Junior and the Canal Boats....

    Move over a little...

    A little too much

    Ah, screw it...that'll work

Monstro was a very serious concern for Atticus.

Legend has it, that if you jump out of the boat and rub one of the Golden Roofs, Security will get you and have you arrested....That is only a legend, though.

    More to come!
