Re: The Incredible Mr. Limpet on Ariel's Undersea Adventure?

Yeah, I saw him on all three times that I rode TLM today. He's pretty easy to spot as long as you know exactly where you are looking.

Here's a hint: start your search just before you encounter Ariel.

Sort of off topic I guess, but Don Knott's ruled. I loved every role that man played..

Re: The Incredible Mr. Limpet on Ariel's Undersea Adventure?

Is Mr. Limpet's appearance based on a real species? If so, I'm thinking of a sailfish. They should also have Crusty on Limpet's head, but that may be one too many hermit crabs.

There should be a sticky thread called "This Day in Disney History." The company has a long history and this would be a good way to acknowledge it. Walt was born 112 years ago; that's quite a chunk of American history and culture.

Re: The Incredible Mr. Limpet on Ariel's Undersea Adventure?

This reminds me of how they used to play "Me Ole Bamboo" from "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" under Jack Wagner's announcements at the ticket booths 30-some years ago. Loved the tune, but thought it was weird to have a non-Disney song playing along with "When You Wish Upon a Star" and "It's a Small World". Only connection I could make was that the Sherman Brothers composed the music for both "Chitty" and several Disney movies (e.g. "Mary Poppins"). Of course the Park has all sorts of music that isn't strictly from Disney movies, but somehow the "Bamboo" one stuck out at the ticket booths. I wonder if it got misconstrued as "Step in Time" from "Mary Poppins"; the two have a similar sound.

THAT is really random and awesome at the same time. I remember seeing Mr. Limpet when I was a kid. Loved that movie! Don Knotts is the schnizzit!

Loved the original movie, I will be on the look-out for him in TLM.

I think this is the BEST inside joke ever. Yep, sure enough Mr. L is in the Under the Sea number in the movie, who knew? To include him in the attraction is brillant!!!!!!!! For my 2 cents I feel The Love God is the best Don Knotts film.

This is so cool! I remember seeing this film years and years ago. It'll give me something to watch tonight. This is an awesome tribute to Don Knotts. After all, he did do some good business with Disney.
