Do You Think DCA Will Ever Stay Open Until Midnight?

I can understand why Disneyland can stay open until midnight during peak times since there are nighttime shows and a good amount of attractions to keep people up all night. So now that the Disney California Adventure expansion has added a show at night, more rides/attractions and even a whole new land in 2012 to the Park; Will DCA ever stay open until midnight like Disneyland? I know I wouldn't mind taking in W.o.C. and then crossing over to F! followed by a trip to ElecTRONica until a 12a.m. closing.

What are you thoughts, would you play at DCA in the night's late hours?

Possibly once all the construction is completed. It will draw the crowds, therefore a boost in attendance. As a result, longer hours.

EDIT: It does stay open past midnight.............. ON NEW YEARS' EVE!!!

I don't think DCA will ever be left open until midnight. Mostly it doesn't have nearly the amount of attractions that Disneyland has.

I think it would be cool if it stayed open until 1 eventually. DCA is going to be a really cool park at night, it'd be cool if it always had a late WoC show. Plus it would be better if they don't close at the same time to prevent crowding of the trams.
The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with children’s toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You know…the Mickey in us.

Thats what I was thinking too. If they both closed at the same time, imagine the crowds getting back to their cars on both sides.

i don't think so because the crowds of both parks closing at the same time is a big mess of crowds :/ the trams would be over packed

I hope so. But I dont think it will happen any time soon, even after the expansion. I think the latest will see is 11pm closing and only on peak days were they turn people away from Disneyland.

I want to see the return of night rides on California Screamin. I hate how WOC closes one of the best coasters to ride at night.

I did posted about this but a lot of people didn't catch it.

I've been there on nights when the last show was scheduled 45 min before the park closed for the night. The park closed at 10 and the last WoC show was at 9:15. The show ended effectivley at 9:45. Both MFW and CS reopened as soon as the 2nd show was over.

The best way to have night rides on CS is when DSL is done for the year since the sun goes down much earlier than now.

And plus, as much as it is a loss of CS closing during WoC, there is no way to keep it open during the show, they use the coaster structure for the new pirates segment and it's a sure bet that it'll be used in future segments.

CarsLand looks like it's going to be beautiful at night with all the neon. Disney also tends to do a great job lighting their mountains so the CarsLand range could be quite something to behold. It would be a shame to only have a couple of hours of that per night in the summer.

Other than special occasions it's only open until midnight.

I think it eventually will, itll eventually close at 11 once cars land opens more than likely. Maybe after all these current renovations whenever they add a couple new attractions itll have the same closing time as Disneyland.

After 2012... since it's likely they will never close at the same time but instead probably an hour apart, maybe they will alternate which park stays open latest. Sometimes Disneyland, sometimes DCA.

Re: Do You Think DCA Will Ever Stay Open Until Midnight?

Yeah, about 11 next summer in 2012 will be a definite, but midnight? Well, seeing as DL itself doesn't even go to 1 AM anymore, I doubt it.

It's really too bad, since DCA is even increasingly looking to be even more beautiful at night, with Cars Land and now the Ghirardelli chocolate factory which will have a gorgeously lit sign on top.

I'd say maybe with further expansion it will see even later hours. But yeah, look for 11 PM closings next year.
