    Best Spot for Parade Viewing?

    Hi!

Where do you prefer to watch parades from?

We are new AP holders and have never watched a parade before. Tomorrow we plan to see the new SoundSational Parade. Where should we go and what time should be get there to insure a good spot? We are shooting for the 4:00 p.m. parade not sure if this matters.

    Thanks!

    Jeri

anywhere along Main St. on the curb. you will need to get to that area early if you want that good spot, at least you be in front and get good photos. But if you don't want to wait that long, maybe somewhere near the Hub?!

I like to stand out in from of the Emporium so i can see down Main Street and around the flag pole. But that's just me.

I prefer to watch parades somewhere in Town Square. That also means that I don't necessarily have to stay put in just one spot. It gives me a little mobility with my camera.

My wife and I happened to be there during the filming of some of the Soundsational commercials. We were on a bench in the hub just outside of Tomorroland on that side of the street. We were able to see everything pretty clearly even though where they were filming was a small distance away. We both agreed that when the parade is going full blast down the performance corridor this would be a perfect spot, as the parade would pass right in fornt of the bench we were on.

We like the Fantasyland corridor, just outside IASW. Cause its usually shady there, and EVERYONE wants a spot on Main Street, so the crowd can be pretty thin!

I prefer to watch the parade around the hub area and or main street. Those 2 places make for a wonderful backdrop when you are either filming the parade or taking picture.

The place I dislike watching the parade is from It's a Small World. That area looks to plain and outdated.

It depends on what you like. If you want to be up close and interact with the characters, then I would recommend a spot on Main Street. If you want to be more elevated and see the floats and characters from a little higher up, then either the right side of Small World Mall or the Main Street Station are your best bets.

Town Square is great, as is the Small World mall area.

I really like the raised steps around the Small World mall (which were built for Light Magic) because you can get a raised spot to see the parade with unobstructed views.
