I don't understand the reasoning behind doing only sweet potato fries. There are just too many people that don't like them. If you're trying to chase business away or have more people bring their own food to the park, then it's the way to go. Tangaroa Terrace is the same way. A choice between sweet potato fries or a green papaya slaw. Really, what kind of choice is that. It's just not that hard to have regular fries as part of the menu also.
that is what i have started to do because i can not stand the sweet potato fries. Please just give me the option. I was actually kind of looking forward to the Tangaroa Terrace, after seeing the menu, not do much.
My kids and I are Hungry Bear regulars, but on our last trip there, we walked all the way over to the Village Haus as they did not offer regular fries and my kids weren't about to eat sweet potato anything. Really a shame, because I LOVE eating at the Hungry Bear. I hope they change back or give us an option at some point.
I personally do not like sweet potatoes. we went there and ordered a salad instead which bummed me out as I want to try the burger. I voted for options as they should have the option of both regular and sweet potato fries. Downside if they did offer both might be that they would fry them both in the same oil which would then give my regular fries that nasty taste of the others.
I LOVE sweet potato fries, but judging from the comments these sound absolutely horrible.
No! They're super delish! My only complaint was that mine were lukewarm. They need to figure out a better setup for frying them (you know- don't cook 'em 'till they're ordered... ), because quality makes the little bit extra wait worth it! Otherwise, though, I LOVE this change, both for the choice of sweet potatoes, and that this seems like a more theme/region appropriate selection!
