Mickey and Friends Parking TRAM of DOOM

Ok i do like the mickey and friends lot but toy story lot is so much better, i think i would park in mickey and friends if the trams didnt take 30 minutes just to get to the park and even worse 30 minutes waiting to go back to your car at midnight when im super tired.

I dont know why they dont have a better system to bring guests in and out to the lot better, but i was thinking and i thought it would be a much better way if their was a ongoing tram system, kinda like the HM omnimover but instead of those use more of a peoplemover car and have it run nonstop back and forth so people dont have to wait as long.

    What do you think

I think you over exaggerate the wait times and how long it takes to get to the park..

It takes aprox 285seconds from CLEAR to DISEMBARK (yes I counted my previous ride as I was bored waiting to get out of said tram)

Oh and Toy Story Bus from Parking lot does take a lot longer than Tram.

However waiting in the M&F to pay parking and then going up can be a serious long period of time.

Toy Story is like you drive right up, with few seconds of waiting.

So If you want to save gas..? Toy Story.

If you want the tram experience or have your car in a covered area M&F.

I can't stand Toy Story so I'll suck it up and go via Tram.

I like the Mickey and Friends lot because it is so easy to walk back to it thus avoiding the tram or the bus. I don't think people realise just how close it is or there would be a lot more people walking.

It take approximately ten minutes to walk from the M&F parking structure to the esplanade. A lot faster than the toy story shuttle trip. M&F is far more superior than toy story.

I've never even bothered trying to use the Toy Story lot. I've had nothing but easy and pleasant experiences with the M&F Lot. Simple, effective and it's never taken more than 10-15 minutes from tram to main gate.

The omnimover/people mover idea might even make it take longer when considering the less mobile and everyone with strollers.

I use Mickey & Friends most of the time. I tried Toy Story a few weeks ago, since people talk about how much they like it, but I thought the whole process was just OK. Though Mickey & Friends can be a mess, I do like it better. The bus ride seemed longer than taking the tram. I also prefer to have my car covered.

My personal calculation is based on whether I can get on a tram right away or not. It takes (as noted) about 10 minutes to walk from Mickey and Friends to the park (or back). If I can get on the first tram available, it takes about 7 or 8 minutes to get to the park. If I have to wait for a tram or two, it goes up to about 15 minutes.

Never used Toy Story. I like the covered parking. Car stays cooler on hot days.

ok i dont think your still getting my idea, the idea of a better system instead of the tram more of a nonstop omnimover system for you to just hop on.

It also depends on where you are coming from...if you are coming down the 5, the Mickey & Friends parking garage is quicker. I usually do the Toy Story lot since I come up Harbor Blvd from the 22. It takes a ridiculous amount of time sometimes to turn onto Ball Rd from Harbor if there is a ton of traffic. Also, I think it takes a lot less time to get from the bus to your car in the TS lot than the tram to your car in the MF garage, especially if you wound up parking on the opposite side of the garage from the escalators! There are benefits of both, but it really depends on the situation.
