Avengers Attraction Rumor off another site.

I am not sure how legitimate this is, but another site says there is currently concept work for an avengers attraction in Disneyland planned for 2013/2014. Does anyone have any sources to back this, or do you think it's just nothing?

There is a very reliable source on twitter, @DLR_55th whose been hinting at this as well. He said he was even in New Mexico recently with something to do with this and has also hinted that D23 might have the big announcement this year! So I think it's more than a rumor.

I read the post more as Lance speculating that the rumored attraction is related to The Avengers, not that the rumor of a Marvel attraction was specifically about The Avengers.

Thank you for this. I just checked out the post on there. They are saying that it will be a Marvel themed attraction other than Ironman. They are speculating that it is the Avengers, but it looks like it is just screamscape's guess at this time as to what the ride may be.

Cheer up though, Marvel fans. At least it looks like we're finally getting something, Avengers or not.

The deal does not expire but is only applicable East of the Mississippi River. Separate deals, whose details have not been widely published or widely discussed, are also in place for The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man at Universal Studios Japan and Marvel Super Heroes 4-D at Madame Tussauds London, but neither would likely have any effect on the Disneyland Resort.

I re-read, and yes it was more a rumor of a marvel attraction besides ironman, and speculation towards an avengers attraction. Oh well, we will Just have to wait and see. I cant find DLR_55th on twitter, do you have a link Ursulalvr?

It hasn't, but because they let their time window lapse, Universal is not allowed to use Marvel in their parks west of the Mississippi.

Maybe it's me but that just seems like a rather odd agreement/arrangement. What happens if Disney wants to implement Marvel characters at WDW, would they be competing directly then with Universal? Sorry if this has all be covered before in another thread, but it's a very interesting topic.
