    Just One More Hour

Assume that DLR is going to be gone FOREVER. You have just one hour left in the park. What would you do with your hour? I have no idea. I have to think about my own question. You guys answer and I'll get back to you.

As silly as this might sound to everyone, I would ride the teacups. I have such fond memories of riding them as a child, with the Matterhorn and monorail in the foreground. The teacups are the section of the park where I always realise that I am in Disneyland, and I get a wonderful feeling of nostalgia. To me, that would be the perfect ending to my time at Disneyland.

Prepare for a bunch of people going "search the threads first."

While I don't mind repeat threads, I'll go ahead and reply.

One hour doesn't seem like much, does it? And with everyone else knowing they only had 1 hour left as well would make lines for rides... uh... more than an hour, that's for sure. So with that in mind, I'd skip doing a ride, if I wasn't one of the first ones in line. Definitely not see a show, unless maybe it's Fantasmic and I can catch the pirate ship to the Mark Twain finale somehow within that hour.

So if I had the optimal choice of what I'd do - - I'd ride Indy, then Pirates (since it's in close approximation), catch the end of Fantasmic and walk around the park while having a Coke.

I figured as much, but for me anyway, with a thread like this, I want fresh new answers in the moment. Sorry if I am breaking MC protocol. Besides, it'll drop off into thread oblivion by tomorrow morning. It doesn't hurt anyone does it?

And I still don't have my answer.

I'd go on the DLRR one last time and then spend about 40 minutes walking through the park listening to the area music. Then during the last five minutes I'd try to get as many people as possible to gather around the partners statue to sing "When You Wish Upon a Star." And finally I'd grab a churro on the way out, but instead of eating it I'd probably spend the entire drive home smelling it every 10 minutes.

Sit on a curb on Main Street with a hot dog and a coke and people watch...

This pleases me more than any attraction in the Parks.

And Main Street is my favorite land!

For me, presuming it would be like a normal crowd level night...Haunted Mansion, twice through, then wander out through New Orleans Square, taking video from some viewpoints, just ambiance...music, the streets, and do the same for Adventureland. Buy some things in the Adventureland stores. Take photos around the the west side as it clears out. Sit on Main Street with a coke and just watch and wait till it closes...take video and photos as I leave. Would be sad...but would soak up the ambiance of the park at night as I go and do best to capture the experience.

I would ride Pirates one last time for the smell and fill an empty water bottle with pirate water as my last souvenir. Then I would glance out over ROA and sigh. Make my way down Main Street very slowly to hear the music loop I love so much and finally get on the Train and take one last circle tour and sob on my way out!!!!

Me and my wife would ask our daughter to pick two rides which would probably be Tea Cups and It's a small world. Then after that, I'd buy about $1000 worth of tshirts and other souvinirs. Maybe more. Then move the Central Hub and count down the seconds to closure.
