Remind myself that once my blackout dates end. Part of the dca refurb will be done, crowd levels will be small again, and there won't be as manyntourists as there is right now. Ah, and weather will be cooler.

I plan for the next trip. Decide where to eat, what to do first, and things like that.

I also visit sites like this, read DL books, and generally search through the internet expanding my knowledge of the place with blogs, boards like MC, websites, old photos, old trip reports, and so on. Learning about Disneyland's history and attractions is almost as good as actually visiting the park. It's certainly not better or the same, but to me it's the second best thing.
"Pretty soon he would be hundreds and hundreds of miles away on the great plains and deserts, and among the mountains of the Far West, and would see buffaloes and Indians, and prairie dogs, and antelopes, and have all kinds of adventures, and may be get hanged or scalped, and have ever such a fine time, and write home and tell us all about it, and be a hero."

i would do that, but it just makes me want to go more!!!

i really want to go this weekend, but with carmagedon i'm not so sure...i live in the san fernando valley (luckly i live towards the middle and not that near the 405/101 split) so i will be most effected. I have a feeling the 5 will be backed up as everyone will use it to get downtown, as the 101 will be backed up for everyone trying to get into the city...LAME!

i don't even plan on visiting my gf who lives in calabasses because of this whole thing (if she wants to drive to me that's her problem lol)

maybe i'll take the bus down there...my roomate did it and it only took him an hour and a half...though i'm sure there will be a lot of traffic...

I know it's a bit self serving but also quite theraputic. I write about my Disneyland trips and experiences (and yes, sometimes I even write about DL at work).

^ it does. Welcome back from the happiest place on earth where you wish you could hide in an attraction and live there as a hermit to rainy vancouver with the oldest, most unsafe wooden rollercoaster in the world

Ugh -- the Withdrawals! Come September, it will be two years since I've been. Ack! This is the longest "drought" I've ever had. One thing that sorta helps is to watch/listen to other people's Youtube videos. My recent favorite is this one -- I want to blast this from a speaker off my balcony and then go down and stroll around and, with eyes closed, it will feel like being there! Haha

sign up for live365.com... its an internet radio site, and there are TONS of Disney/Disneyland/Disney World stations with full ride soundtracks, full area loops, and full parade soundtracks!

That is what I listen to at work

I also live in Metro Vancouver (Langley to be exact) and it sucks. When we get back I always wish I was still there.

To answer the topic though, I typically hang out on Micechat and check out Disneygeek. That helps. As does planning the next trip or two.

    Re: going through dland withdrawals...

I haven't been to DLR for over a year now, and I'm surprised I haven't ended up in the crazy house.

I cope with my withdrawals by listening to Disneyland music. I go on youtube and look up 'Disneyland park music' and I will play anything to sooth myself. I also watch Disneyland videos on youtube too. From rides, parades, fireworks, to character meet and greet, to anything I can think of!

Sometimes when I'm really in the need for some Disneyland treatment I even look up Disneyland park walk throughs. Those make me feel like I'm right back home
