    Re: Disneyland ghost stories

Ahhh, ghost stories. Nothing like them and a campfire, eh?

The one that I heard of is when they were creating the HM, there were noises heard in the Corridor of Doors. The ride had not been completed and some construction workers had heard 'grumbling and mumbling.' Investigations by the workers turned up nothing. They assumed it was that someone was testing some robotic aspect of the ride. Or that someone had accidently covered up a radio in the walls they were working on. Eventually, more and more workers reported the creepy sound, and more and more described it as a muffled voice. To this day, it is still sometimes reported after hours.

I don't know where I had heard that story. So if there are variations, I do apolgize here.

I know from my own experiences, antiques abound in the ride. Surely something, er, someone is attached to those items and haunts because of it. Look at that attic!

The attic on HM has always been the creepy part of the ride for me. I always get really uncomfortable as soon as I enter the room.

what about the whole story about a boy who died, and he wanted his mother to spread his ashes through out his favorite ride, which is HM. And that she got caught and they had to close the ride down for a long time, and now the boy haunts the HM.

Well according to a female that I passed by on the way out of the Haunted Mansion, She told me to hurry back and be sure to bring my death certificate because they were dying to meet me. So I bet if you bring your death certificate to the little lady in the HM you're probably good to go! LOL

    Re: Disneyland ghost stories

I've only been to DL once, so I'm not as versed in hauntings there as I am at WDW, but let me tell you my FAVORIE ghost story at any Disney park is at WDW's Haunted Mansion.

The story goes that late at night, between the time when the streating room doors open to let guests in, one lone cast member has to walk to moving platform to check the doombuggies. One night a CM noticed that someone was sent up from the unload to the load, possibly a VIP. The man had a white coat, hat, and cane, and never looked at the CM, even as he passed. That CM then called back to the unload saying that the person the unload sent up was really rude and didn't say "Hi." The CM wanted to know who that was, but the unload swore that they didn't send anyone up. Well, luckally the CM remember the Doombuggies number, so they waited for the ride to make it's rounds, and when it came up to the unload, they saw that no one was in it. The man disappeared. There are two stories to who this man is, one is that this is a man who's plane crashed into Bay Lake before WDW's opening, another says this is Yale Gracey, legendary Imagineer who worked on the HM.

    Lightbulb Re: Disneyland ghost stories

This thread's given me an idea:

    How about......

A MiceChat Ghost Hunt meet in say.... late October?

It'd be a lot of fun for a nighttime meet, and visit all the reputedly haunted places at the resort.

What do you all think? I'll put it on the calendar if it sounds cool.

    Re: Disneyland ghost stories

I have a really good story.
I was walking along the little road in between the fastpass for splash mountain and winnie the pooh ride. As i walked over i saw a canoe boat, with no one in it rowing around the bend in the Rivers of america. I watched it and even pulled over my dad to show him, and as we looked, a man appeared, very light, almost totally transparent and then disappeared. The entire thing took only like 10 seconds but i got really creeped out and haven't gone on canoes since. I'm creeped out.
