Goofy's Sky School vs. Legoland's Technic Test Track

Hey all, DM here again. So, while looking through YouTube vids, I stumbled upon a video of one of my old childhood rides at Legoland California. It was Technic Test Track, the park's wild mouse coaster. And I gotta say, in terms of appearance, it's way better than Goofy's Sky School. Here is the video link below for the Legoland ride:

‪Lego Technic Test Track (HD POV) Legoland California Roller Coaster‬‏ - YouTube

See? There's no Six Flags-style sand pit, no giant mesh of metal and supports, and more SFX to along with it, unlike Goofy or MM. With this, I believe that if Phase 2 of DCA's redo comes along as planned, maybe they could go back to Goofy and give it the redo that it was meant to have.

So what do you think? Post comments and thoughts below!

It does look alot better in terms of the appearence of the track
It is the ride supports that make this ride superior

I agree, that would enhance the appearance of GSS. Also, if and when they enhance GSS, I would like a Goofy audio added throughout the ride, giving "instructions" to the "students". I think it would enhance the "flight lesson" theme even more than visual enhancements, and probably take less time and money. It couldn't be too hard to add speakers and a recorder with prerecorded audio that gets triggered at points in the ride to each ride vehicle.

I hope they improve Goofy's Sky School. I can't believe they didn't add in at least one Goofy yell! How could they not take advantage of an opportunity like that? I think it'd fit perfectly at the large drop toward the end.

Yeah, I wondered why Al was uncharacteristically harsh about GSS... then I rode it last week. Really, you just go up, do a drop, then uncomfortable hairpin turns, then a small drop and done.

No music, no voice, no Disney magic of any kind really. I can understand no video, but not even a soundtrack? That, and some kinda fake flight yolk on the driver's seat, I think the ride would be fun. As it is, it's like the Jumpin Jellyfish, where I had to make my own fun adding blood curdling screams as if it was scary or something.

Makes me sick just looking at it.

After waiting in a line that goes back and forth, you on a ride that goes back and forth.

meh. don't see it. I mean, I get it.. grass is prettier then gravel - but I didn't feel any connection to Lego really on the ride nor connection to anything honestly.

Mul. Madness certainly feels like it TRIED harder then this one.

GSS really needs some on-board audio of Goofy and music. I prefer Technic to GSS for the greenery and fitting the theme of the Lego Technic brand.

except it looks nothing like the technic brand. I don't see it 'fitting' in any fashion except for having the signs on the lift hill which really don't fit the coaster.. just the technic concepts. I mean, none of the structure looks technic, nor is it even camouflaged to look like it either.

Really the only thing different I see are
    - sound effects that exist.. but really don't add much to the experience
    - grass under the ride

Honestly Mul. Madness had a lot more thought into the attraction fitting the story concept then this does. And I think GSS tops 'em both.

The grass is nice - but not enough to make me like one vs the other
