No World of Color Showings in September and Blue Sky Cellar

After skimming through the event calendar on Disneyland.com, I noticed that no Woc shows were scheduled for the month of September. I do no know whether there will actaully be no shows or if the performances have no been put in yet. So do not quote me on anything official.

As well, the Blue Sky Cellar will be going down for refurbishment on September 15.

Chances are the schedule has not been updated yet, I know as of either yesterday or the day before that it said there was no schedule for the month of september yet. I bet that if World of Color see's a dark period, it would be during january or around that time. Because, if there was no WOC for the month of September that would mean it would not be avalible for Halloweentime at the Disneyland Resort... Which has been becoming the most crowded time of the year.

Also note that ElecTRONica is not schedueled either, as well as many other Disney California Adventure offerings, and lets face it... We know because Disney confirmed it that elecTRONica will be staying until spring of 2012...

He could have just ignored it. If they are planning a Halloween WoC, Steve would not just say "no". He simply wouldn't say anything about the matter until Disney made the announcement. Steve really cares about his fans. He made a Facebook page, for goodness sakes, so he could communicate with them. He would not lie to us, saying no to a project if it really was in development, he would simply ignore it.

Not anymore since WoC debuted. Now it closes around 8 or 9 to allow for one WoC show.

But yeah, its still too early for them to post the entertainment schedule for September. I always recommend checking the calendar around late August, they should have the Sept schedule up by then.

They are waiting until after the D23Expo to update the Blue Sky Cellar. I am sure some of what you see at the Expo will be brought to the Cellar.

There will definitely be WOC shows through September. I was just looking at the schedule, and DCA is scheduled to be open from 10am-10pm through mid-September. The WOC schedule hasn't been finanlized yet that far out, but there will more than likely continue to be two shows (9 and 10:15) through mid-September as well. I know the website shows 10-8 after that, but that hasn't been finalized yet. If the hours are set at 10-8, then there will be one WOC show those nights.

BTW, generally speaking, the entertainment schedule is usually finalized by about 2 months ahead of time (sometimes 3). So if you're looking past that on the calendar, and don't see sometime, don't fret. It simply means that the final entertainment schedul hasn't been locked yet.

DCA has been open 10-10 throughout the summer. After the summer season ends, it will likely return to closings of 8 on the weekdays and 9 on the weekends through off-peak (DL also shortens its hours during this time).
