    That's not what I've seen:

You can clearly make out the seat belt latch. I even saw a full picture of the unit before but it seems that it isn't available anymore.

Even on the prototype you can see the same indentation and latch:

Holy cow you're right! I've seen those pictures before but I just heard it had lap bars so I figured it did and didn't even look closely enough to tell. Good eye!

From the pics, it looks like there may be enough room for a child to lap sit at least.

I'm thrilled for the new addition of Lap Bars or a seat belt with 1 person per seat. Very rarely have I ever say doubles. Too uncomfortable no matter what size you are.

Just to see something new with my favorite attraction of all time is exciting. I personally would love to see them redo all the track along with new bobsleds and added effects throughout the attraction during it's 6 month refurb. It's been a long time since it's been down this long.

I just barely started riding single, and my gosh is it better that way. No ones head/hair flopping in my face. Just me and the sled It does look that unless you get a front seat, you aren't going to see much of anything aside from the head-rest in front of you. I just hope when all is said and done, they will still feel like sleds, and not a normal roller coaster.

The only way can happen, is if there are two seat belts.

Yes. With 100% certainty, the new sleds will have seat belts.

Wasn't there news, that the sleds may have 3 cars attached bringing the passengers to 9. Take with it a grain of salt....

Ive gotten hurt nearly evey time riding that ride over the past 20 years or so, either a bruise of a nearly broken finger (mostly at the end when it stops abruptly at the ride exit). I will be happy to see the new configuration.
