"Pooh's Hunny Hunt: A Wet and Wild Adventure"

Hey all, DM here again. With the new Pooh movie being both a critical and financial success, I think that one way to go back and redo the lackluster Pooh ride in CC is to not tie it in with the new movie, but do a major overhaul and change its ride type, as well as some of the scenery and layout. The idea of the new ride is to make it a water ride with a drop about the size of PotC in New Orleans Square. Besides, in the original concept art, it seemed that it was supposed to be a water ride originally. In this ride, since the boats will travel at unknown speeds, audio will play in a fashion similar to PotC as well. Here's the layout below.

    Loading Area
The new loading area will accomadate to the new ride vehicles, which are now dubbed "Hunny Boats." Four rows for riders will take guests down a river that runs through the Hundred Acre Wood.

    The Entry Tunnel
Instead of a series of doors, one pair of doors will be at the end of the entry tunnel as riders approach. The doors represent storybook pages. The first one says, "One blustery day in the Hundred Acre Wood..." while the second one says, "...Winnie the Pooh, a bear of very little brain, set off in search of honey." The pages open to the woods.

    A Blustery Day
Gopher is the first to welcome the guests, as he says "Happy Windsday!" from the right side of the boat. Pooh reaches for a tree with honey dripping out of it, while Eeyore continues to doubt his every attempt. Piglet is seen struggling on his broom as the wind blows him away, literally. Kanga holds onto Roo as she is dragged though Rabbit's garden, with Rabbit in a mess of his own. Owl's house is seen toppling over back and forth with Owl still talking without any reason.

    Tigger's Scene
Tigger is then seen inviting the guests to come follow him to Pooh's house. Peoplethen encounter jumping fountains that jump across the river, with a few exceptions that will get the riders. Tigger will make comments that will influence the original version of the ride (i.e. "And I thought those beehicles were slow!") Tigger will appear a total three times. Tigger is then seen trampling Pooh via shadow projection, before seeing them in their 3rd dimensional form. Tigger warns about the Haffelumps and Woozles and how they'll steal Pooh's honey.

    Heffalumps and Woozles
The riders then transition into Pooh's house, with him falling asleep, using the Pepper's Ghost illusion currently used in the ride. But instead of using the simple dark tunnel, a chain lift with projections of Pooh floating around, and Tigger's voice is heard warning about the "H's and W's." A dark door at the end of the tunnel opens up to Pooh's nightmare. H's and W's squirt water at guests, while Pooh dangles from a hot air balloon over a real honey whirlpool (which is just water with yellow lighting). The room ends with two jack-in-the-boxes leading the way to a large honey room.

    The Honey Room/ The Drop
Pooh is seen as he is today, in a honey paradise. Melvin, Buff, and Max remain behind the riders. As rider approach into a dark room, lightning is seen (via strobe), and thunder is heard. Pooh's voice is heard "Oh bother." Riders are surprised with the ride's main drop, which is about the size of Splash Mountain's first major drop (in DL). Riders are immersed into darkness.

    A Floody Place
Riders come out of an over turned log, into a flooded Hundred Acre Wood. Everyone tries to save one another, or trying to get to higher ground. Water fountains hit riders onboard, indicating the instability of the situation. Pooh is seen on higher ground with him reaching for Rabbit's hand, as Tigger and Piglet hold Pooh's other hand to keep him from falling into the water. But he looks back and forth between Rabbit and his friends (Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Owl, and Gopher), and his honey pots floating away. His constant groaning for wondering what to do is heard. (SPOILER TO THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SEEN THE NEW MOVIE: As a little joke from the new movie, Owl is in the umbrella, as he was in the Backson trap, leaving his flying capabilities left out. )

    The Hero Party
The Narrator says as riders transition though storybook pages, "Pooh made the right choice and helped save his friends. The rain then went away. A party was thrown, and everyone gathered to say..." The characters (all 3-dimensional) say "Hooray!" with Pooh absent from the scene. Pooh is then seen across the way inside a tree, with his rear end facing the riders.

    Exit Tunnel
The Hunny Boats go through the tunnel, with Pooh above the ride exit, where the tunnel ends. He is seen enjoying all the honey he desired, saying the different lines below:
"Start the party with out me (laughs)."
    "Wasn't that fun?"
"Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there someday."
    "What a wonderful dream!"

So as you guys can see, it's basically half-on-half of DL's version and WDW's version, but the water idea makes it unique (even if the title is used from TDL's version). With this ride, it could make Critter Country a backwoods area for water rides. So what do you guys think? Post comments and thoughts below!

Elements of Everything is Honey would be perfect for the Honey Room.

I would love to see a water-based Winnie the Pooh attraction however, it would go even better in Fantasyland in the old Motorboat Cruise area.

However, let's please try to keep the words "wet" and "pooh" out of the same attraction title.

The maturity level on MC is about to drop. But once I heard the name "Pooh's Hunny Hunt: A Wet and Wild Adventure" I INSTANTLY thought dirty things.

Great concept though. A pooh water ride would be very epic indeed.

Unfortunately the movie hasn't been a financial success. However, a Winnie the Pooh water ride could be really fun With the main theme being "The Rain, rain, rain, came down, down, down"
"Trap Toad will they? HA HA NEVER!"

"Get Hip, Don't get the Dip!"

You're not alone I first misread it as saying Pooh's Hunny Hunt: A wet and wild dream. :o

The movie is literally one of the funniest movies I have ever seen! My one gripe is that it wasn't very long but I was laughing to the point of tears the whole movie. If you haven't seen it then go! You won't regret it.

I like any idea that involves any changes to Pooh. I could see Pooh being chased around by a Backsoon. Lol

Obviously whatever plusing is done for Pooh, Nintendo's Wii will need to be cross promoted within the attraction.

I think an improved Winnie Ther Pooh ride would be hugely popular with guests because, c'mon, people love Winnie Ther Pooh! Even the current ride can't help but be a little charming. Logistically, though, I don't think your version would fit in the current location. Also, two adjacent water rides doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

I love your idea of book pages as transitions between scenes, by the way!
