    Question Outside food and drinks

    Hello all!

    New to the forum

I've been watching for awhile, hoping someone else would ask, and since I wasn't a member I couldn't do a search. So I signed up, did a search and still couldn't find an answer to my question.

    Anyways, On to the question!

I've read that Disney looks the other way at bringing in outside food and drinks, but I was wondering what suggestions you guys might have on good snacks to bring in?

So far on my list is:
    1) Peanut butter sandwiches
    2) Granola bars
    3) Bagels
    4) Bottled water

But I'm thinking 4 days worth of peanut butter sandwiches is going to get boring.

Also- can we bring in aluminum type water bottles (they keep the water so much cooler than plastic ones), or would it be best to just bring the plastic disposable type? And what about canned soda?

Thanks for you help in advance

You should be fine. I bring an Aluminum reusable bottle all the time. Yes you can bring sodas in. No glass bottles. They will ask you to throw them away. Your list is ok.

Fruit is good, too. When you get tired of PB&J, walk down the street to Subway for some cheap sandwiches. Or pack a cooler and keep it in a locker out at the picnic area. Link. They don't list the sizes, but you could call or chat online with Guest Services to check.

If you're staying 4 days then you should have a motel room to keep food in?

Yes, we are staying at The Hilton Garden Inn. We are going to be there this following Tuesday through Friday. We are looking for food that won't be troublesome. I am planning on grocery shopping, but I don't really want to bring things into the park that may cause a mess in our backpack (like fruit, but thanks for the idea :-) ). Subway is a fantastic idea.

We are trying to keep it simple. We don't want a locker and we don't want to have to leave the park while we are there. Just simple things to snack on between meals that won't cause a mess.

We like to take in things that you can much on a bit at a time while in lines. Chips, fruit snacks, grapes, peanuts, gum/mints, those little packs of crackers and cookies to share, etc. The Subway (if you have time) is a great idea. Been seeing that more and more in the park.
