Re: When is DL the most magicalist?

After a long day of riding rides and showing someone who had never been there before all the magic and wonder that really exists in the park. When you're sitting together and watching the incredible Fantasmic! finale and you see it on their face, how they really feel the magic of the place. That's when it's the most magicalistic. Especially if that person is your significant other! :-) *Awwww*
Words any Disney fan and especially Disney employee should live by:

"Disneyland is a work of love. We didn't go into Disneyland just with the idea of making money."
    -Walt Disney

"Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world."
    -Walt Disney

"I do not like to repeat successes, I like to go on to other things."
    -Walt Disney

"We did it, Disneyland, in the knowledge that most of the people I talked to thought it would be a financial disaster - closed and forgotten within the first year."
    -Walt Disney

"It's kind of fun to do the impossible."
    -Walt Disney

"I only hope that we don't lose sight of one thing - that it was all started by a mouse."
    -Walt Disney

Re: When is DL the most magicalist?

For me, it's that moment in the morning when the park's just opened, I'm walking in and have gotten to somewhere less crowded, such as NOS. I've gotten to my first destination, I can slow down just a tad, and the whole day is ahead of me.
As I'm thinking of this, the weather is perfect; blue skies, not too hot or cold. Just the magicalist. Yes, I love that word, too.

It's most magical to me the second I see my kids faces light up when we walk in the gates.
"You can cut me off from the civilized world. You can incarcerate me with two moronic cellmates. You can torture me with your thrice daily swill, but you cannot break the spirit of a Winchester. My voice shall be heard from this wilderness and I shall be delivered from this fetid and festering sewer."

Re: When is DL the most magicalist?

We had Club 33 dinner reservations on a night the park closed at 8 p.m. I think our reservations were for 7 or maybe even 8 p.m. Can't recall exactly. But we didn't leave until almost 11 p.m., long after everything on Main Street had closed. The Club hostess escorted us all the way to the front gate. It's the only time I've actually had to wait to have the front gate unlocked in order to exit. That was magical.

For me, as long as I can remember, when it is dark and the lights come on down Main Street and are twinkling in the trees!

Hidden Mickey - Historical fiction about Walt that mixes action and mystery with time travel and fantasy! Tweens to adults will enjoy these novels. And now, three gamebooks to play in Disneyland, DCA and WDW Magic Kingdom!

Same thing happened to me and my wife too, except no escort. We strolled out of the park at our leisure.

Disneyland as a whole is magical. One of the main reasons I love Disneyland is the atmosphere itself. If I had to narrow it down I would say that the most magical moment is at night when everything lights up and the park takes on a new personality with everything from Fantasmic/Fireworks to Main Street.

For me, there are two times that are special.

    1) First thing in the morning. It's as though the park is waking up, ready to start its day. Everything is sparkling clean, no crowds at all, it just looks fresh and new.

    2) After dark. The park takes on a whole different personality after dark. The crowds are usually lighter, people seem to be a bit nicer, it's like the park is winding down after a long hard day.

At the crack of dawn. I got to see the sun come up while in the park when I attended gradnight back in 08. It was the most amazing experience being in the park before it opened for the day. I felt like I was watching Disneyland wake up.

Definitely at night time because of the beautiful lights!
The most magical I have ever seen the park in general, was in November when the Christmas decor was up, and the lights all came on at night. Amazing. Halloween has great decor as well.

Also, if you ride Big Thunder Mtn at around 9:30-9:45 when the fireworks are going off, it's incredible! That is my # 1 magical memory!

As a cast member the magic wears off after your first year but for some reason I still get a chill of magic when its a Sunday morning between 2 and 3 am and you are the only one on Main street looking at the castle and all its lights our out and then "boom boom" you see a couple of test fireworks going off in the background thats a pretty amazing moment and one only very few get to see. Lucky me.
