I'm hoping for the possible Frontierland E-ticket ride expansion.

If and when it happen I hope the ride incorporates the Disneyland Railroad going through it.
Similar to the plans Disney originally had for Indian Jones attraction incorporating the Jungle Cruise and the Disneyland R.R.

You really think so? My hunch has always been that Disney's deliberately left the tracks up because they've been trying to develop a new ride system that can utilize the tracks in some way - it's just the waiting for budget and navigating around tricky safety codes that have caused us to wait this long. If they really wanted to demolish them, I bet they would have done it when the Rocket Rods closed. Disney's done much bigger demolitions since then without problems... (see DCA project tracker)

It hasn't been announced by Disney, but yes. I can guarantee you that once a budget is green lit, they will come down. Now this could happen in 2 years or 5, but it's inevitable.

Due to health and safety codes, there is no chance for the PeopleMover to come back. It would literally take hundreds of thousands of dollars just to retrofit and bring the tracks up to code. This doesn't even count the manufacturing of the ride system and show scenes. The investment is just way to much.

With that said, there are big plans in store for Tomorrowland, including an original attraction. WDI is being given a lot of freedom right now with Disneyland. They have some amazing plans in the works for both Tomorrowland and Frontierland. Imagineering is actually pushing TDA to tear down the PeopleMover tracks soon so they have a clean slate to work with. Disneyland has a very bright future ahead.

Umm someone else had also said that the people mover track was going to come down for reasons previously mentioned by Disneylandfan95. As much as I wanted the People Mover back; I mean it was the original, I think we should throw in the Mickey Mouse Ear hats. Maybe if we're lucky when they're demolishing the tracks a piece will fall on Autopia; and then they'll have to update it. :P

As of right now, yes. But definitely not the Autopia you can ride today.

By original attraction, I mean an attraction that is not based off an existing franchise. When Shanghai opens, this attraction will be part of their roster and, if WDI gets the green light, it will soon find a home in Disneyland.

The future is indeed bright. Even without access to insider info, just looking at the rumors and paying attention to where small prep-projects happen and looking at how management is looking at things lately, you can see that there is a lot going on and even more coming.

It's true though that the PM tracks... just not going to happen It's not worth the investment at all. Especially when the goal is to refresh TL not just return it to an original state. Even that original state, albeit in part better than what is there now, would still be stale. It could be so much more than that with a little dreaming. And from all the rumors, WDI is dreaming pretty big.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. Exactly, mycroft. I think it's hard for people to understand that WDI is being given a lot of freedom with Disneyland right now. They have some original ideas. There will be things coming to the parks that we have never seen before. WDI is not and will not revert back to "Tomorrowland 1967" because they have better things up their sleeve.

I know it's hard to be optimistic when you don't know what's coming, but I promise that WDI has a very good plan for Tomorrowland as well as Frontierland and Fantasyland.

I think a lot of that problem is the decade+ track record of management trying to over-control the creative side of things. Since Iger has taken the reins, WDI has been given more and more freedom with each project. It's like someone finally had the genius idea, "hey, let's see what they can do." And with that increase in creative freedom has come larger and larger budgets to make those ideas reality. Add large management shakeups in the past couple years and you have a much leaner, less top-heavy, much more creatively open-minded leadership and you get an environment that not only trusts WDI, but actively seeks out their help.

I think that by the end of the next 5 years, opinions will have really changed about things as people really start seeing what a difference there is. The DCA Phase I project will be complete and open and a number of smaller, but still significant DCA projects finished as well, or under way. Plus a fair number of Disneyland projects. If I'm right about their intentions, then Disneyland should start to see some pretty amazing construction within the next 9 - 12 months. And some of it is even starting sooner with a lot of Main Street remodeling. That's not just normal work, that's the start of something bigger, I think, and it signifies an understanding that money must be invested to keep the parks fresh, clean, working and new.

All this talk of DL's future has me so excited! I'm very excited to watch this Main Street expansion and soon experience it, especially the Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe (Mary Poppins is right after Alice as my favorite Walt Disney classic). I'm sure Frontierland will be first on list for new attraction. It needs I more. I love rustic, Western theming like BTMRR and it's a theme that lends itself well to a great attraction. I hope it ends up great.
