Walls are currently coming down which were previously blocking the walkway on the pool side of the Adventure Tower.

So they meant E-Ticket Pool literally? I thought it meant that it was going to be amazingly detailed and big-budgeted.

Sadly it seems Disney is of the opinion that themed elements like the Jolly Roger and Skull Rock should take a backseat to more chair space and the only sense of Disneyland nostalgia in there are tiles of E-Tickets as opposed to something that would actually be cool.

When you get a good look at the redevelopment it makes sense. The neverland themeing wouldn't mesh with the new look, and would block carefully planned sightlines etc.

I understand that though Fantasyland homage it was that the Neverland pool leaned more towards the film. But if they want to call it the E-Ticket pool, it needs something a little more then E-Ticket tiles. Like another Disneyland history homage brought in that works in a way as to not quite detract from the weenie that is the Monorail slides.

I was kind of thinking the same thing... Although, there is already so much going on in the pool area that a more basic "e ticket" pool will work well with the other elements (I think). We'll see!

That “new look” is an expanse of concrete. They are essentially tripling the concrete area around the pools. Outside of the new restaurant (and for a few, the waterslide), there is little that is really enticing about the new courtyard “enhancement”. Theming is more than just decorative tiles.

I was thinking they were going to do something nicer than this too.
Pretty disappointed if it's just tiles. I thought they would have little tributes to the E-tickets throughout the pool, going through them or around them, something like you did with Skull Rock. Neverland pool was a really nice, but I'll wait till it's finished to make a final opinion.

I urge you guys to visit the hotel to take a look; I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how stunning the whole redevelopment is (so far). It's amazing how lush it is as well! Who knows... there may be another "weenie" added to the E. Ticket area. I think that the design team's goal was to open up the vista in front of the Fantasy Tower to feature the new Monorail/Disneyland Sign.

I agree with Tayati, the whole area looks so much classier than what it used to be. The lighting at night is also very well done and makes the place look very relaxed.

Sometimes less is better and in this case the lush landscaping that surrounds the area is enough to make it look like a hotel worth the money that they charge without all the cartoon characters plastered allover the area
