They have been extending the ropes ever since the Jolly Holiday Bakery opened.

If you look in the red circle, you can see fir trees planted on the mountain itself.

New directory in the Disneyland Hotel (all three towers have these):

Some Jungle Cruise maquettes have popped up, too.

I'm not sure when it moved back to Main Street only, but do recall rope drops in the hub. It may of been 10 or more years ago.

Nice detail pics of the Matterhorn, Ron. I really like the paint on it. With the work getting toward the base only, park site lines are improoving.

They just finished painting the Gibson Girl window trim and bricks last week. The whole area is looking nice with fresh paint and details.

Love the photo. Quick question I reed some place maybe here that Thunder Mountain is going to be closed. Does any one know if it will be getting the Same TLC as the Matterhorn, or is it foing to be part of a fronterland expansion? any ideas? I heard that beyond normal maintainance it hasn't been updated since 1978.

My guess (key word guess) would be that the refurb is more to update the ride system to a 21st century system as apposed to the 1978 system it runs on now. There was also rumors that BTMRR would get a track replacement (alla Space Mountain and the Matterhorn) sometime in the next year but I think that is unlikely unless the track is in dire need.

didn't they fix the ride after that one person died on it? many people refer Thunder Mt as the ride where someone died.
