Yeah, it was interesting to hear that from an Imagineer. Wish he could have gone into more detail and that Fishbulb (I think it was?) had asked some followup questions. The laughing about heights was funny, but what about the holes in the tops of the rockwork?! Are they for catching rainwater or for missile silos?

    lol

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. I think that's plenty good enough, and considerably better than what a lot of us were expecting to get.

Neither. Their for potential future rocket storage. None of you know about this, yet, but I have a source DEEP inside of PIXAR that has detailed the plans for a 'Rockets' movie. Basically, it's somewhere between Cars and WALL•E. It's not even in the pre-announcement stages, yet, so nobody here would have heard anything about it. Anyhow, they may add rocket launching special affects in and around RSR, for synergy with Rockets.

Oh, dang. I think I said too much.

Along the lines of the BVS partners statue:

I've circled in red where, according to the leaked blue prints, the statue will be. This may not be the actual position, or plans may have changed since those were leaked. Or could have changed before they leaked even. But that's the most recent placement that we know of.

In all honesty, I think it works best where it is in the model. Sort of like they're arriving with you and you're taking it all in with them.

Yep, the more recent elevation model is much less interesting to look at.

Is anyone taking photo requests for D23?

If so, can someone get more pics of the underside of the RSR vehicle? Like all the fun mechanical bits? I wanna see how it connects to the track.

It connects to the track by four rubber tires. Oh, there is also a long pole sticking down from the middle of the car, though a slot in the track. There are a bunch of really fast, magically enhanced dwarves that pull on that bar, making the car move down the track.

Yay. It's sure going to look nice when it's done.

Really excited to see an area that will have more activity and detail

I like the lighting on the tip of the Carthay Circle Theatre tower. Also, I know its just a computer rendering, but does it appear that the sidewalks are flush with the street? I assume we'll have curbs, right?

They rendered curbs on the sidewalks going under the bridge, but they don't look that way in the area around the theater.

That's just spectacular! There are so many goodies on BVS, it's hard to know where to start.

Is that video a little stuttery or is it my network connection?
