Wow, those shops are really coming along nicely. Even if it's not a full remodel, it's already looking much better. I can't wait to see the new signs! I wonder if they're renaming any of them...

More and more decorative details and theming being added to BVS every week.

Here' the Elias and Co. Dept Store. You can see the beginnings of the engraved name going in as well as some beautiful art deco decorative pieces being added between the windows.

    Concept art of same building.

Also a neat looking art deco decorative piece in front of the cafe.

And concept art of that building (it even shows those art deco decorations)

The new trees placed around the fountain and near the Carthay are just wonderful and already add so much. BVS is going to just be spectacular, beautiful, and magical. I wonder when the new art deco Hyperion bridge will go up around the monorail track...

The directory sign has been updated
Is it really updated? I haven't been able to park in Timon in a few years.

"Most coasters last just a few seconds"? Now, you're exaggerating for effect.

I am basing the ride length on the timed video that WDI showed in one of their class presentations. The time looked like it was about two minutes for the outdoor portion and around the same for the indoor portion with a total ride length of 4min 30 seconds

And ok maybe not a few seconds but the average coaster is 1- 1.5 minutes with the shortest one being 19sec The longest roller coaster in the world only last 3minutes 12 seconds according to info found online. I was just curious as to why people kept saying the thrill aspect iS short when it is pretty much within the same average as other thrill rides

They also updated with the Toy Story parking lot buses route in the shuttle area. I guess they will wait to *really* update the maps when Cars Land opens and can show the added size to DCA..

Well, Redwood Creek reopens today. I wonder if they added any more little items of theming again like they did last time and did again with the arrival of Wilderness Explorer Camp. I'm also curious if the confirmed new costumes for Redwood Creek Challenge Trail will debut today, the parks blog just mentioned the new ones arriving in 2012 Name that Disneyland Resort Costume Disney Parks Blog

Also, Disney Animation, Grizzly River Run, and Blue Sky Cellar go this month in DCA. Both Disney Animation and GRR were rumored by Lutz to be getting new costumes and I wonder what, if any, new theming will be added to GRR. I'm sure this rehab will help further solidify the new theme they are going for by having all the rafts theming changed, new costumes, and maybe even some more stuff along the ride and in the queue (even though the queue seems to have already got a full, nice vintage treatment with the wooden canoes and oars, old country music on the old looking radio, WPA style poster, and other 40's/50's looking items).

Not a Complete Remodel???? Everything that was there was torn down to the ground (except the facade that says Candy). New store interiors are being built. Nothing is what is was. I would call this makeover a complete remodel of everything, including the monorail bridge. I am not sure what you mean by new signs, but every store sign is being redone with new store names. I don't know of any sign on Buena Vista street that isn't something brand new, so I don't get what you are saying. It's all new.

I believe he is referring the minor exterior refurbishments of the Paradise Pier shops.

    I really cannot wait!

As much as I love it in its current form, DCA is going to be the complete experience after the grand re-opening.

Well the statement was made right in the middle of a bunch of posts showing Buena Vista Street Construction so I just thought he was talking about that.

I see he was talking about Paradise Pier and to that I agree. I hate those old signs and hope they take them out before DCA reopens. They are hideous.
