Will they play race-car sounds?, similar to the train sounds they play for off-ride viewers of thunder mountain. I hope so!

The cars will have speakers inside the car by the seats to allow the characters talk and for "background noises". I assume that the speakers will also be making car noises (tires squealing, engine noises). But we wont know the definitive answer until the ride opens.

I agree the old facades look a little odd just sticking out - but they always have.

I wonder if the canvas awnings will be returned below the old store signs?

You know, although the new Bazaar has a way better facade than the store surrounding it, I actually kinda like the eclectic-ness of the very different stores right next to each other, ones with light up signs next to stores without, makes it more realistic. If they were to redo all the shops I almost feel that it would be better to redo every other one now (or even redo them in some random pattern). The screamin' posts I agree are an eyesore though, but I would require a gigantic frame to hide them at their bases (especially since they don't want to store structure to touch the pole itself), so I don't really know how'd they hide them, but a repaint at least might be nice.

The screamin supports definitely need a new/different paint job. They look like bowling pins.

Didn't the poles for Screamin' get moved behind the fascade over near TSMM? They could do that at the shops too.

^Yes, and also for the Midway games, they built facade around them(there's actually small access doors where the supports are. Obviously they're not doing this here since they changed the base of the supports slightly with a couple stripes. And yet again, this further adds more "confirmation" that these changes are temporary and have bigger plans for these shops down the road.

Interesting thing about ElecTRONica this weekend was on the DJ booth. There was about 5 or 6 Microsoft KINECTs on the booth pointing out to the crowd. During some of the songs they projected the digital bodies dancing onto the Monster's Inc facade. It was actually really well done.

Didnt they have that same thing set up for Glow Fest? Weird that they added that since its scheduled to be replaced this spring.

I talked to DJ Michael Paul about it and he said that it was the first weekend they've done it. I have a feeling it was a test for Mad T Party. They're also ripping out a planter back there right now for the stage that will be going in.

I very much recall last summer hoping through Sunshine Plaza at night... shortly prior to the first WOC showing was to end. It was extremely dark, ElecTRONica was not going that night... and you could hear "Do You Know the Way to San Jose?" very eerily through the unseen speakers, shrouded in darkness. It was uncrowded and frankly kind of cool. That was the last time I ever walked through Sunshine Plaza before the big construction started.

I know it needs to go, and BVS will be much better... but I have to admit having a tinge of nostalgia for the old hub. Some good memories, yes indeed...

2/3rd's of it has been painted in the last 18 months, even the launch area that looked the worst was painted less than a year ago. What more are you looking for?

Very nice side by side pics of vehicles on RSR. You'll have to visit that other site that like coasters of the west.
