Why are people so bothered about the beach balls? If they help improve the ride in any way then they should do it! But it looks like I may be skipping this one for awhile unless the reviews improve.

I feel like the reason they added the beach balls has been stretched by many.. Did anyone stop to think it was done strictly for nostalgia sake, and was always planned??

No, the original concept (and all the way up until CM test runs) NEVER planned for beach balls to be part of the attraction! Beach balls were a last minute idea to try and cover shortcomings.

The beach balls are actually a lot of fun. I had more fun with those than the ride, but they improve the overall ride experience a lot. We passed on the coloring book thing they were passing out, but I did get a flight instructor sticker. Oh, and the interior queue is surprisingly detailed and interesting.

If worst comes to worst, LFT can be a detailed and interesting "line ride" with an interactive experience at the end.

That means they been designing and testing this attraction for years now and still having problems with it. So if its not getting better now, its not getting better!

Well, it appears (via Google Maps) that WDI still has their LFT test bed. I think that they could try and develop smaller single passenger tire as has been suggested. I think that it would be more successful and I would certainly prefer riding one of those over the huge two person version.
