Noticed that too. When they were on, there were streaks of water on the wind shields, and big drops slammed into your face as you went through the tunnel, but it was a really cool surprise effect.

OMG. They weren't kidding when they said BVS was going to be a sleeper hit. The inside of those stores are BEAUTIFUL! Like... not just beautiful but elegant too. The chandeliers, the lighting, just....everything! It's really giving Main St. a run for it's money. This will truly be a completely different park come June 15th.

I love all the hidden references on BVS to name a few Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Fantasia, The Rocketeer, Tower of Terror, etc.

They went all out on CarsLand, and they certainly didn't skimp on BVS. Mission well done, Disney!

On the POV that takes you into Ramone's (Radiator Springs Racers (Full Ride) - HD POV - Ramone's Paint Shop - YouTube), right after Frank chases you, the car goes up a small hill and at the top there's very clearly a front bumper and headlights. Is that supposed to be anything? Was it a non-working effect, or just set decoration? My only guess is that it could be another sheriff or something.

I see what you're talking about... it looks like the front end of a car "embedded" in the bushes. Not sure if it's supposed to be one of Frank's victims or something?

Good eye, I think you're right. A car that should have been lit up. But I love the lighting in that section.

One other thing I noticed (it's not a criticism), but the POV car was a little out of sync when it got to Doc. After leaving Luigi's, it stopped in the middle of the doors because there was a stopped car in front of it. Doc gave his spiel which I think was meant for the POV car. And you could hear Luigi behind giving his next spiel cycle. I wonder if this will be common if there's a backup or if these are just kinks to work out.

Anyhow, this looks totally awesome! Why must I wait 3 months?!?!

Does feel a bit rushed inside... when left to my own imagination... looking through the sets I expected a much slower pacing of the scenes. It does feel like a 'whirlwind' tour right now. Curious to see how guests perceive it over time.

The mater AA's look great especially as does the sheriff.

Test Track feels the same way, interestingly enough.

I think for capacity reasons they keep it fast paced. If they slowed things down, the ride capacity would suffer a lot.

It's good and bad... you don't get a chance to savor some of the details, but also it ups the thrills like in the Frank scene. It reminds me a bit of the Fantasyland dark rides, especially Mr. Toad's. It will also inspire repeat visits from people wanting to see things they missed.

Re: Disney California Adventure Project Tracker 12

This is probably in the wrong thread, but when is Disney allowing people to line up on the 14th and 15th?
    Disneyland - Since 1995
    Walt Disney World - 2010
    Tokyo Disneyland - 2015
    Hong Kong Disneyland - 2015
    Disneyland Paris - ????

I do think it's ride capacity and something tells me that it's fast because of the "Test Track System" they are using... It's not a system that can go terribly slow then go fat. It's kind of hard to explain but I'm probably wrong on this one.
