The Disney mobile wait time app currently lists RSR with a 300 min wait! Crazy! Who in their right mind is willing to wait 5 hours for a ride?! I can't wait until SoCal passes are blocked out!

Where they in just spiffy retro style clothing or dressed in something more fanciful.

So do the trolly wires spark like we thought? Or are they just there?

leaving the window is not necessarily because of cutbacks. The faux windows probably look better than a flat wall

I got in line at around 7:40 AM and I waited for about 3 hours. I'd say the line is about 4 hours at the moment.

Do they play Sh-boom at Cars Land? Is there any kind of special moment when the neon comes on or does it just happen?

They do play "Sh-Boom" to light up the neon in Cars Land. Saw it on Friday and just after 8pm, Route 66 was packed and not moving as everyone apparently wanted to see it. Then John Lasseter showed up right in the middle of the street and everyone went nuts trying to get a picture of him. Then the song starts playing with no announcement and the neon starts coming on starting down by the Courthouse. Lasseter was dancing and all during it and everyone cheered when all the neon started coming on.. Was pretty cool! The times guide says the lighting happens every day at dusk.. right around when sunset occurs. It was 8:04 on Friday..

Yes, at around 8 the music fades out and sh-boom starts playing as the various neon lights come on to the rhythm of the music as they do in the movie. It's a pretty nice touch that I actually didn't expect to see.

^beat me to it. And I was wondering what everyone was crowding around... I was right around there, I didn't even see him.

Amidst all these discussions. I'm going to miss being able to walk into DCA and just relax from the crowds of DL.

Just got back from the resort today. Buena Vista St and Carsland are amazing. I love how the Walt/Mickey statue is on the ground. I saw so many guests putting their arms around the statue and taking pix. It almost felt as if Walt was mingling among the guests. I think this is what Walt would have wanted as opposed to the 'pedestal' treatment the partners statue got over at Disneyland.

All I have to say, Disneyland better step its game up because DCA is nipping on its heels at this point I was blown away with all the new additions to this park. Well done Disney.

Do bring this thread back around: Does anyone know if the trolly wires spark like the original trolly in LA?
