To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.
IF you are renting a card I definitly recommend visiting the disney character warehouse outlet, its about a 15 minute drive from disneyland down harbor blvd. IT is items that the park didn't sell or is out of season so it is at a discounted price, I usually always go there to get souveniors for family members and friends and I buy a few pins there to trade with cast members as they are cheaper.

Antenna Balls, Pins, and Coffee Mugs never get old. I have Micky coffee mugs that people gave me 10 years ago.
Also, you might want to "cheat" a little, and hit up the Disney Character Warehouse Outlet which is at 243 Orangefair Mall in Fullerton (about 3 miles from the Resort). They're not affiliated with Disney, but they're an outlet company that buys ovestock merch from Disney and sells it at a discount. It's kind of hit and miss. The reason stuff is there is often because it's ugly or out of season, so it's not selling in the parks. But with some digging, you can find the occaisional jewel. It's a great place for trinkets and mugs, but they also have outdated DLR clothing and novelties.
ADDED: Oh, look at the above post! Xthinkofmefondly beat me to it!!! Obviously, the outlet is a popular place :-)

Good point. I've noticed that as well. If elected governor, I'll pass a law requiring auto makers to provide, with every car sold, a faux-antenna mount so people can enjoy their antenna balls!!
