A new show to mirror the latest animated release.

    ^What, a Chicken Little play???

Or do you do PIXAR films? Such as the Incredibles, how do you turn that into a 30 minute show/play?

Or do you go live action, and offer a Narnia based play?

Sure, anything can be condensed into 30-60 minutes. Chicken Little would make a great show.

So, you would like to see a Chicken Little type play using rubberheads, like they do at Knott's and the Camp Snoopy theater. Prerecorded Dialogue for the main characters.... Is anyone going to sing? And if so, whom?

I think Chicken Little, which has no human characters, just animals and aliens would be very hard to translate to a traditional stage play.

The closest I can think of is the Lion King, but I doubt that you could do a good Chicken Little translation.

If they use the style created for the Broadway version of The Lion King, Chicken Little could be very effective. New songs could be created for the stage version much like they were for Aladdin and Step in Time. It is in the "Hollywood" section, so it should mirror what is happening in Hollywood.

I would be very much against a Chicken Little show, especially to replace Aladdin.

I wouldn't mind seeing something similar to either the Hercules stage show or the other stage show they had on the Disney cruise ship around 2002.

I say bring back BLAST for a limited engagement (6 months or so like it was before) and then a new show.

Based on what ... who knows. I never cared for Alladin so the theatre is a waste for me at this point.

Bring in the original: Andrew Loyd Webber! Afterall, the way that I see it, most of the Disney Broadway musicals were inspired by Andrew's musicals. It would be neat to see Phantom or Technicolor Dreamcoat there.

With all this talk of "off the shelf" and "on the back-burner" it seems the only thing that DCA is really missing is the kitchen sink!

Re: What would you like to see being offered at the Hyperion at DCA

Aladdin was a great musical to have at the Hyperion, and I think it has had a very successful run, but I wouldn't mind a new show!

I would love to see Blast! return for a limited time, I know I would line up for it! It's just too bad I only got to see Blast! once. Mary Poppins would also be a great one to have, but I doubt they would do that as it is still playing over in London.

Chicken Little might require more work, not to mention there are no original songs (this is assuming what goes into the Hyperion is a musical), but it can be done.

I think the best would be to adapt another animated Disney film to a musical format, Mulan would be a great musical to see IMO.
