The Flag Ceremony everyday at Disneyland is a simple patriotic event that takes place every afternoon as they bring the flags down at on main street. The usual performance is the Disneyland band, Dapper dans and as they play the theme songs for the military segments, veterans or anyone who is serving now stands at attention at the flag pole. This is always a tear jerker for me - but this Sept 11th Disney had the Marine Band from Camp Pendelton perform and they were truly amazing. The crowd was gigantic compared to normal and the emotions were running high - Lots of tears were shed as proud American's stood at attention to applaud those that are serving or have served.
Thanks to all who have or are now serving our country. Your efforts and sacrifice is appreciated and respected.
Here's a few photos of the day.
This first one shows the "typical" crowd at the ceremony - this shot was taken in July 2011 (my son is in the middle, he is serving in the Army)
Now as contrast, you can see how many people turned out for this particular ceremony. Even George was there.

Can anyone spot a certain Mouse Chatter in this image?
