Sooo How exactly does this work? What are the rules, must we be a model maker (I am not) . I am not familliar with DL, but never get lost in WDW in any of the parks (other than AK)...so with that said is this always about DL or does the WDW side of things have their own?
Just sounds like so much fun and would love to try it out.....

About your questions, judges, please correct me if I am wrong, I do beleive that you do not need to be good at drawing/model making, as last season all concept art was extra credit. I think it might be a little more difficult to do this if you are infact more familiar with the Walt Disney World Resort, but, I think you should give it a try.

For clarification:
The Future of Imagineering is a contest that we started a few months back and we just finished our first "season".
It consists of us, the judges, giving you an area or project that you need to complete by a certain time. For example, last season we had projects ranging from replacing Princess Fantasy Faire, to revamping Winnie the Pooh, to completely redesigning Hollywood Pictures Backlot.
Once all the projects are turned in, the judges each grade each project themselves to the following rubric:
Contestant's Name
Originality: /10-
Creativity: /10-
Realism: /10-
Fun: /10-
Detail: /10-
Presentation: /10-
Overall: /60-
After each judging the project ourselves, we debate and decided on an overall score to give each contestant. The judging process is all done "backstage", but the final results and scores for each contestant are posted on the project thread.
As for having concept art or models, it is entirely up to you. We haven't yet had someone make a model, but we have had plenty of concept art. Concept art not only gives you extra credit, but also helps boost your "presentation" points.

I had to quit last season due to personal reasons, but for now, I've got a clean slate.
