Paul Newman was one of our finest actors and a great humanitarian and "Cars" was his last performance. There should be some sort of tribute to him in Cars Land, something subtle.

Hopefully from Butch and Sundance.
"You can cut me off from the civilized world. You can incarcerate me with two moronic cellmates. You can torture me with your thrice daily swill, but you cannot break the spirit of a Winchester. My voice shall be heard from this wilderness and I shall be delivered from this fetid and festering sewer."
Someone correct me if I'm wrong
but the only attraction (even in the "lands"---besides MS USA)
that has a tribute to somene is Frank Wells (not even Walt wanted a statue of himself in the park). If there is something out there, then I stand corrected.
I agree Numan was great
but we also had other great actors (and people who did the voices for the rides) who don't have a tribute.
If Disney was to start this, I think they'd be opening a big old can of worms.
Disney does small sublte tributes to old attractions /Parking lots that made room for a new attraction.

-Al LutzTo that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.
well this land takes place between the two car movies so docs place will be there. so kinda a tribute
Around here, however, we don't look backwards for very long. We keep
moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things... and
curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. - Walt Disney
I stated besides Main Street.
Thanks for the Adventureland, Frontier and Space Mountain ones.
Again, we are talking about people who do voice over for movies.
I think he's a great man, but could you imagine Disney putting a tribute to everyone who ever voiced a cartoon show or film.

I was thinking about a door in City Hall with the name, "Mayor Doc Hudson." Also, he's the only member of the original cast who's died since the movie premiered. Other, still-living characters already have their names on buildings, like Mater and Flo and Luigi and Guido. I wasn't thinking about a statue or anything as obvious as that.

The voice of Fillmore died as well I thought...
And Doc Hudson's place from the movie will be a part of the land I believe as an extension of Flo's V8 Cafe
