I can't wait until he gets to jail and meets Bubba. As soon as it gets around to all the mass murderers in there that this guy is in for selling counterfeit pins to children, his life will really get interesting.

He'll be in with other guys who did little piddly crimes like that. They don't mix maximum security murderers and such w/ lower tier criminals like that.

    $1 Million Bail? Jesus!

How come they don't deal with the stores outside of Disney World that are selling similar fake pins? There were a ton of them when I was doing the College Program.

Anyway, I would only go in Disney stores or Disney outlets to buy pins anyway.

I believe the $1 Million bail is for the co-defendant Allred, who has multiple rape and kidnapping charges on his record.

But other than that he's a nice guy.

Didn't read that part. Funny how it took a counterfeit Disney pin scam to finally track down such a low life.

I love what some posted (comment made on the article):
    says says says:
I’ve known and met some of these “avid” Disney collectors.
They are ALL a strange group, a little off center. Their lives are centered around an imaginary world, that they think they are part of. Kind of sad actually.
It is interesting that the police caught him and not disney.

Also found this comment (comment made on the article) to be funny, but most likely true
    pp says:
Funny thing is that I bet the “authentic” Disney pins are also made in China!

I'm struggling to find the difference between an authentic Disney pin and a fake pin. When it comes down to it, a cheap little piece metal is a cheap piece of metal. Next time I want to add to my Disney pin collection (I think I have 7 pins), I am going to ask for a certificate of authenticity.

We got caught up one year in the pins. I think I kept going for about two years (not crazy, but buying here and there). Eventually I stopped because the pins weren't dated. Disney just started putting out holiday pins that were generic. I'd said I have around 100 (even have a Millionaire pin). Truthfully don't know where half of them are. And I feel better saying around 100 because I hope I didn't go past that.

Counterfeiting name brand merchandise is "not a big deal?" It's okay so long as it "looks real?"

    Really?

If you had busted your butt to develop and design a product -- a video game, say, or a designer line of clothing -- and a crook cloned it and sold it under your name, cutting into your sales or even wiping out your business completely... it would be "not a big deal" so long as the clones "looked real?"

    Seriously?
