That's a lot of people! I know the AP party that had the cap of 5,000 and only FL and TL open seemed like practically a ghost town. I'm glad we were able to make it on a Monday when it wasn't crowded much at all.

That goes to show how unpredictable the crowds can be. Tuesday was a sold out night and we were elbow to elbow everywhere we went, most lines were about 30 minutes or more. Star Tours was at least 45 minutes. Ya just never know.

we were there on friday the 14th and it was crowded.. it might've been easier for people without kids to go on the rides. but by the time we watched the parade, fireworks, stood in line for pictures, there just wasn't enough time to stand in the long lines for the rides, and we were there till midnight. it was still alot of fun, but probably our last DLR halloween for awhile.

I was there last friday and yes it was crowded but not a normal crowd by any means as we walked right in front of the castle and sat down for fireworks and then walked to main street and sat right on the curb for the parade. The trick or treat trails had long lines but they moved very fast! All things considered the crowd level was not bad for the event.

I went on a Tuesday night a week or so ago and ased a CM ,how many tickets they sell for each event, he said 20,000.

again, probably just a guess, they don't really divulge that info to regular CM's - If they were a manager, that might give the count merit but I doubt they would say. But I kinda agree with 20M

Re: Halloween party sold out. What's the attendance cap this year?

We went on Tuesday the 11th, and it definitely was busier than last year. It was still nice, but different than what we were expecting.

Disneyland was packed at 3:00 when we entered early - which was surprising because the prediction from wait times was a 2 out of 10. So that threw us off from the start because there were a lot of people.

Then the party started and it felt busy everywhere, except the lines for the rides! Everything was pretty minimal wait, which was nice, except for photo lines and candy lines. We weren't expecting the long lines for the candy and just the feeling of people everywhere. I think it had to do with the way the candy lines were set up this year and closing of Pirates and the restaraunts around Frontierland. That area was just ridiculously congested (for only 20k of people in all of Disneyland) because people didn't have anywhere to go.

We never even made it to the "it's a small world" area or matterhorn, but we did everything else. It was still a fun night, but it didn't feel as "relaxed" as last year's party.

Agreed. No way a higher-up would give a specific headcount.

Ironically, I just received a Halloween Party specific survey and my main complaint from this year to last year was the much larger crowd. We went on the first Friday.
