Is DCA Promoting Narnia?

ORWEN: Merry Christmas, Happy Hanakah, Happy Quanza and Happy Holidays in general to all of you loveable Mice-chatting ducklings out there! Your cauldron girls have a question for you. Now, we know we could just gaze into our crystal ball to find out the answer. But it's a lot more fun to chew the fruit cakes with you all, instead! So, here goes: Is DCA doing anything to promote the new movie, Chronicles of Narnia? A witch would think they should, anyway. Surely they could have characters from the movie out for meetings and greetings. (We've certainly been seeing some new merchandise out on the movie, at least.) But is there anything else happening to celebrate this film at the parks? (It's about time they had another movie with a witch in it--bad as the evil thing was!) Anyway, thank you for your answers ahead of time! Huggies!!

I think the White Witch was doing character appearances today in Disneyland.

ORWEN: Really? Why, thank you, Precious!!! It's our greatest dream that Disney will--some day--let ALL the Disney witches come out of their various closets and wardrobes--to scare Mouseketeers everywhere! In the meantime, Chernabog, duckling, how's your Hanakah bush doing?

IIRC, they were supposed to have a Narnia exhibit in the old Who Wants to be a Millionaire building.

The only thing that DCA is doing regarding Narnia is the fact that the movie is on the faux marquee near the Hyperion Theater (the end of Hollywood Blvd.).

I have photos of the Narnia White Witch meet and greet in Fantasyland being uploaded as I type.

Finally, a movie that Disneyland can promote... Thank God...

There is a window on Hollywood boulevard with Lucy's Narnia wardrobe, and another female outfit (I'm not usre who's) as well as a battle outfit (agian, not sure who's). This is the same window that used to have the minature wardrobe in it.

The Narnia meet and greet in the courtyard on the back side of the castle (outside, appropriately enough, the knife and sword store) is really awesome. Jadis' appearance causes snow to happen, and she makes it stop. The lighting makes it feel cooler when she's there, and the young person hired to portray her is magnificent. VERY close to the actress in appearance.

I just wish she's yell at the kids every once in a while like in the movie. I'd love to see the reaction (and the resulting line at City Hall!)
