RR was NOT the downfall of the PeopleMover. Lack of riders was But the PM was down for a few years before they even started RR, so they did not close PM to make way for RR, its just they put RR in to do SOMETHING with the left over track.

I rather liked the Hall of Chemistry...though it wasn't very fast.

I actually liked Rocket Rods and I miss the sounds.

I have to say something here. The attractions that some of you are mentioning were anything but horrible. I cannot believe someone would say that the marvel that is Fantasmic is, was and will be for a long time to come a huge draw for the park and as some have said is worth the price of admission in and of itself. Think about how much hassle you go through at a concert and with as many of those as I've been to very few of them live up to the memories and magic as Fantasmic!

Also, Captain Eo...I know this is all about opinion and such. But, Captain Eo was a really big deal for the time it was released. The special effects were state of the art. The music and dancing was second to none...and although it had someone who has become weirder over the years, it still brings back good memories for many who experienced it...and look what we have there now!

As for Pooh..I can see how some would say that's not the best ride. But, it is still a very good ride. Try to go to Magic Mountain or Knotts Berry Farm and see a ride with half as much imagination. It's not gonna happen!

Just remember that the magic lives on even though things have been kinda crappy for the past decade or so. Walt made sure that it would last through good times and bad(Eisner/Harris) times.

    DL:
Observatron ... The rockets on top of the Peoplemover platform was way better than it is now, and no bottleneck.
Innoventions ... Bring back America Sings already!!!
Rocket Rods ... Good Concept, Poor Execution
Pooh ... For the price tag it should have been better. Close it down and re-vamp it.

DCA ... I actually liked SuperStar Limo.

There are 3 category levels -

A - bad rides because of what they replaced (stinks)
B - bad rides all by themselves (really stinks)
C - bad rides because of what they replaced AND all by themselves (arrest someone)

Considering this, there is really only one true answer:

Innoventions - replacing America Sings. Disney original replaced by a Circuit City, with the characters recycled to Splash Mt!

No other ride/attraction is so bad replacing something that was so good.

CBJ should never have been replaced by Pooh, but it's a jewel compared to innoventions.
Rocket Rods was not a bad ride when it was working, it just didn't always work. If it didn't replace the PeopleMover, most of you would have loved it.

DCA wins the special achievement award. It's not really that bad, but when you consider it's Disney and what really could have been, it's a disgrace really. Remember when you heard DL was adding a new park? Didn't your mind start thinking of... Carnival games? ;-)

    Anybody remember this:
Fantasyland Autopia with the Gummi-Glen overlay. Lets take a boring attraction and make it worse with the addition of non-Disney plywood cutouts in order to promote some bad ABC kids programming! Go Eisner! No, really... go.
