Is it at last time to 'play the music'?

Now unless it gets some stinking reviews, I suspect that the new Muppets movie will be rather a large success for Disney (and if it is bad, I will personally hunt down Jason Seagal myself!). So will this mean the Muppets can expect a bigger presence in the parks? It is nice that they have always been there (admittedly in the form of a 20 year old 3D movie) but Miss Piggy's wonderful cameo in the Halloween parade suggests greater things to come...
A Muppet mini-land? Perhaps an Electric Mayhem themed replacement for Electronica? Meet and greets?

Maybe they can retheme Mulholland Madness to Gonzo's Sky School.

in all serousness, though i could see them making this an addition to Playhouse Disey or a show in one of the live venues.

a muppet's meet & greet would be great. in the early 90's when they were designing Muppet*Vision 3D, they were also designing a muppet version of the Great Movie Ride but with Muppets making fun of famous scenes in films. it was axed but i think it sounds cool and is perfect for movie lovers or people who have a great sense of humor, not to mention what the kids would think of it. imagine Kermit playing Flynn Ryder and Miss Piggy play Rapunzel from Tangled. the list goes on.... i think this could be done at DCA in one of the empty buildings in Hollywoodland... just a thought...

WDI does have plans for the Muppets. But they will only be greenlit if the movie is a success.

The Muppet brand has a lot riding on this upcoming film. If it's successful, expect to see a greater presence in the parks and more films. If it's a dud, the Muppets will be dead in Disney's eyes.

I kinda hope Muppet Vision 3-D sticks around... I just realized that that show, as far as I can tell, is the last time Jim Henson himself voiced Kermit before he passed away.

Wow, I didn't realize that it had that significance. It would be a shame to lose that. I have probably seen the show 100 times, but I still like it. now, I want to see it again and watch it with that in mind.

As I've said numerous times, I can't disclose that.

Anyway, even if the film is not a success, I don't see Muppet-Vision going anywhere anytime soon.

You can't disclose if it is Internet rumor or not? I didn't realize that was so top secret.

Obviously if you have some "official" source within the company you wouldn't be able to disclose the person's name, job title, social security number, choice of breakfast cereal... etc. But answering the question of if it is Internet rumor or not does not betray anything. As far as the second part of my query as to citing your source, the polite answer would have been to just say, "it comes from a connection I have within the company and out of respect to that person's anonymity I can't disclose their name."

And if you stated this for past claims of fact that you may have posted, it is no reason to assume that this comes from the same hypothetical "source".

So I ask again, is this just Internet rumor? Because you still managed to avoid answering the question.

This I can agree with you on.

I don't understand the harshness of the post, as I was saying I can't disclose my source. No, it's not an Internet rumor. A quick search could have answered that if you were so concerned that it was. I clearly answered the question in which you asked where I got that info. Obviously, I can't disclose that.

This I can agree with you on.
Well at least there's something.... haha

The what not shop is at FAO Schwartz. I am not sure if Disneyland or Disney world will open a what not shop

IMO, a complete overhaul of the MV-3D area could be done. The Millionare building has been sitting empty for a while, and i think the Muppets could find a home in there, maybe. They could as well as redo the entire MV-3D facade/queue/sign/anything that made it look cheap and bring it up to at least the standards of its DHS twin

Plus out of all Muppet stuff, it has my favorite exchange..

    Kermit: Sam, you about ready?
Sam Eagle: Yes, it's a glorious 3 hour finale.
    Kermit:You get a minute and a half!
