    Found A Pin

On my last visit to disneyland, while walking down Disneyland drive near the parking lot of Downtown Disney I saw a small sturdy box on the side of the road, after watching it roll under a car's wheel. Inside I found this pin:

Is this actually one of the ambassador's pins? Or is it just some cheap one you can buy anywhere? I looked on a lot of pin websites and couldn't find any that looked exactly like it. The closest one I found was the one Julie Andrews was wearing. Shown here:

There are a few differences, but not significant ones.

Anyone ever seen this pin before? Am I a millionaire now?

Submit the pic to DizPins.com... they put up mystery origin pins like this all the time.

    Re: Found A Pin

What are the tour guides wearing this year? Did they get new pins? That gold D design is what they have historically worn, although I don't know if it says "Ambassador" underneath or not. That would be my guess- I don't think that replicas of that pin are sold.

Interesting, I didn't notice that. Well I know it's not that same one anyway, because the one I found says Ambassador, while Julie Andrew's says Honorary Ambassador. And the one I found doesn't have blue on the 50.

That's probably it. My dad says that he knew many of the ambassadors while he worked for the company and they were usually young beautiful women who went around giving tours.

    Re: Found A Pin

Well, just because they look different doesn't mean one is fake- those pins are worth a lot of money if they are real. I saw one from the 70's on ebay going for $200. Dizpins is probably going to be your best bet as to whether or not it is real.

That's just the lighting actually (and my fingerprints, heh). It's actually very smooth and even. Too bad I don't exploit things like this, I'll probably be returning it on my next trip if it's real.

Geez What A find! I have seen those on the CM guides for the tour and on some of the face characters. Nice! Thanks for sharing.
