Cool beans!
So I suppose the pump house is doing its job, then!

Awesome, looks very similar to its inspiration: http://www.alpertdesign.com/david/20...9/_DSC2930.jpg
The fountain streams appear to be going inward instead of outward like the original. Hope there is going to be a stream on top.

OHHHHHH yeah!!!!!!! I am soo excited!!!![]()
Looks great! I posted about this in the tracker thread and how similar it really is to it's inspiration fountain, the fountain in front of the Glenarm Power Plant in Pasadena. I'm so glad they modeled it after that fountain as it's is so beautifully simple and indicative of the 1920's. Right down the street from the real fountain are the craftsmen styled bus stops of South Pasadena that are serving as inspiration for the front entrance RCT stop. Those two elements, along with the fact they did some architectual studying for BVS in Old Town Pasadena, is truly going to make it look like home away from home for me and definitely resonate the classic California/LA look
Pic uploaded.. video to come.

^ That picture almost makes the beautifully elegant fountain look harshly out the place with the tacky and garish entrance to HPB just behind it. Fortunately, when the rest of BVS is finished, it should look charmingly nostalgic.
I've seen it from inside the construction walls, and yep looks absolutely gorgeous. The water reaches at lest 10 feet high and looks great. They've been regularly testing the fountain for several days now.
The best vantage point to see the fountain is from the intersection of Hollywood Bl and Sunset Bl in the HWP Backlot. You can see how perfectly the fountain lines up with the centerline of the street.
We are expecting the walls to start coming dowin around the fountain in the next few days.
So it sounds like the plan is to slowly move back the walls as segments of BVS are finished as opposed to a massive unveiling?
This is my signature. There are many like it but this one is mine.
For Buena Vista Street proper, no. The plans is to keep it walled off until next Summer. For the "hub" area of the corridor, I wouldn't call them "plans" per se, but the practice has been to remove construction walls once the selected portions are done, such as what was dont with the the Guest Relations/Pump House building. The walls will eventually be remved from the Carthay Circle Fountain area, revealing the fountain completely. This will leave a wider footpath to traverse between the Hollywoos Backlot, Golden State, and Paradise Pier/Bugs Land.
I thought at the convention they specifically said the fountain wasn't going to be revealed until the rest of BVS was?
