Re: If you could only visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter or Carsland?

I'm not a Harry Potter fan either. So I could care less about it. I'm looking more forward to Cars Land. And let's face it. The Forbidden Journey is pretty much a simulator type ride with some set pieces here and there. Radiator Springs Racers is going to be an incredible ride experience. You will get to ride in a real car and race around Radiator Springs which be a very detailed and real environment. No simulator ride is going to be able to beat that.

Potter ALL the way. Don't get me wrong, Carsland looks great, but Potter is beyond amazing! Didn't really care for Cars till I heard they were building it here. Thats when I saw the movie and it was just eh to me. Potter, I grew up with. It actually got me out of remedial reading classes when I was starting middle school! And I made the best friends out of it and we watched all the movies together. It's just no comparison! Potter has a big place in my heart! And I can't wait till it comes here! I'm finally gonna get an AP for there after about 5 years of not having one(I used to live close by)!

Re: If you could only visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter or Carsland?

This is a difficult question because I just went to Wizarding World in October, so now I'm definitely looking forward to Carsland. But if you asked me in September, I would have said Harry Potter for sure. It has ten+ years of memories behind it, beloved characters, and magic.

However, having gotten that out of the way, I'm now looking more forward to Carsland. It actually looks more immersive and beautiful than WWoHP. Unfortunately, I only know that because I'm a Disney nerd, and I've been following the Carsland/DCA expansion very closely. If I was just your average nerd, however, I'd probably still rather visit Harry Potter.

Is it bad to not vote?

Re: If you could only visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter or Carsland?

Why does it have to be a contest? Can't we just wanna do both. This thread just seems like another attempt to undermine one of the largest, most immersive projects tackled by Disney in an open and operating park. Idk i could be looking at this wrong but yeah. Don't knock till you try lol. I've heard many of my friends who aren't Disney people but love HP very unimpressed and let down when they made the trek to the land in Orlando. I would love to visit it but still I voted for Carsland. Already, just from going to park, it reminds me of my desert home. Those mountains are beyond impressive. I can't wait to be immersed in a land so inspired by Americana and Route 66 kitsch

I can't stand Harry Potter so to me Carsland is a no brainer. The only reason I let my wife drag me to the first couple of those movies is because they had Star Wars trailers playing beforehand.

Cars on the other hand was a great Disney movie and I can't wait to see what it really feels like to step into Radiator Springs.

Common trend = People who vote for Carsland are people who dislike Harry Potter, so they have no other choice but to pick Carsland.

I bet one can turn that around and apply that to the Potter people just as easily.

    Harry Potter for me.
Both lands looks great & pull you into those worlds, Carlsand maybe even more due to it looking like it does a good job of blocking out the rest of the world.
But WWOHP just has more things to do that interest me. An amazing (from what I've heard) dark ride & roller coasters, as well as a nicely themed village with it.
I can't compare the main rides (RSR & FJ) because RSR isn't open, so I won't compare those as RSR has a great chance of beating FJ. But the flying saucers & Maters & the land just doesn't compare with Potter's rides, area, & shops IMO.

But we will see, I'm excited to try both one day. Maybe I will end up liking Carsland more, who knows.

Re: If you could only visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter or Carsland?

    I voted Cars Land.

A couple of the later Potter movies were kinda cool, once they got older and Hermione got hotter, but it's nothing to obsess over. I went on the Potter ride at Universal with a group of fellow CM's last year, and it was a really good ride even if you weren't familiar with the books/movies.

But overall, Cars Land just looks way better. It should be noted, a small group of us CM's walked through Cars Land over Thanksgiving weekend, so I've seen much of it up close. It's way better and way more impressive seeing it up close than it is just viewing it from the winery patio 100 yards away.

If I could only visit DCA's Carsland or US Hollywood's WWOHP?

I voted Carsland... so I can go there and still visit the original WWOHP in in US Orlando.

Yeah, cheap choice, but I get down to Orlando more than I make it to Anaheim anyway. I'm also a HUGE Harry Potter fan, and while I'm not a particular fan of Cars, I think the Radiator Springs from the movie did have a very unique charm to it that I remember thinking would be great to visit. Also, the work being done on Carsland is absolutely breathtaking. I don't think anybody can deny that the sheer scale of Carsland and all its rockwork is unmatched in the history of a single theme park expansion.

I picked Harry Potter. While I'm reserving final judgement for when I finally see Carsland, I'm not to overwhelmed with what I'm seeing. Harry Potter, on the other hand, looks awesome. I will end up going to Carsland a lot more, since I have no real reason to go to Universal, but to only see one, I'd much prefer Harry Potter.

Carsland. I've never even read any of the Harry Potter books and I've only seen a couple of the movies. Not a Potter fan so it would be Disney for me all the way.

I voted for WWOHP. The FL version has issues; Too tiny, poor layout, and extremely crowded. FJ is an amazing ride and would love to see something slightly different for the West Coast version.

However, Carsland looks incredibly expansive and detailed.

haha! Pretty much exactly what people have been saying.

    Shouldn't be a contest really.
