Tomorrow will be busy, Monday will not be busy at all. Tomorrow you will be going during the end of some, not all people's vactions. Monday everyone will be at school and work and the offseason restarts.

I would suggest you go to DL tomorrow, mainly because Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder will be running and Fantasmic! and the fireworks showing. On Monday go to DCA, while Grizzly River Run will be closed, the will be the downside of DCA on Monday, WoC will be showing.

If you can hop, on Monday try to do both parks to enjoy the short waits, but make sure you get in GRR, HM and BTMRR tommorow before they close for rehabs on Monday.

What about February 1 and 2, Friday and Saturday? Planning on doing DCA on Friday and DL on Saturday.

I might consider doing them on reverse order, DL first, DCA second. The reason being RSR is going to be busy no matter what. While on Friday morning and early afternoon it won't be too crowded, but the evening and Saturday will be busy. You may want to be in DL to get in more rides on Friday before the parks get busy instead of wasting that slow time on RSR, when most of DCA won't get big Saturday lines, and many attractions have FP. For example, don't spend time in the RSR FP lines and return lines when the parks are slow, TSMM will be 30-45 of waiting either day any time after the first hour the park are open. You may want to ride Star Tours, Peter Pan, Indy and HM when they have shorter Friday morning lines. Then on Saturday like with TSMM, the lines for many of it's rides won't be much longer and the ones that do have easy to get FPs.

Sunday will be a little busy, nothing major but not slow. Friday as I mention above will start great and be busy after 5.

Thanks, I kinda figured Friday would be slow in the morning and pick up when everyone gets off work.

Are Sundays usually busier than Saturdays? I get the idea they frequently are.

Thanks a bunch for the insight! I think we will go the first week (we have a 2 and 4 year-old)!

I think Sundays are, or at least that's the idea I've gotten, just because the SoCal passholders are blocked out on Saturdays and not on Sundays.

Are you looking at a 2012 calendar. Or do you mean Thurday and Friday or Friday the 12th and Saturday the 13th?

Anyway, that's the tail of Spring break which elevates the crowds a bit. Weekdays that week should be mild, but not totally slow. The weekend will be quite busy starting Friday evening.

According to TouringPlans, it looks like Feb 20-24 is going to be heavy. Why is that?

Monday the 18th is a holiday, Presidents day. A small but good number of school have that whole week off which makes it mildly busy.

Should we avoid grad nights all together? I've heard they are really bad.

    I wouldn't say so.

This year they are at DCA, and you may want to avoid that park on those days and DL on those evenings as crowds move out of DCA. Also on early Grad Nite dates some of the grads show up later and later Grad Nite dates more are there most of the day.

There are a few rotten apples in the bunch but most behave.

If on a multiday trip I wouldn't worry a lot. If going for a day, the previous or next day may be better.

Re: When Will It Be Busy At Disneyland - 2012 Edition

Is tomorrow, Jan. 7, still supposed to be not too crowded? I just checked Disneyland's hours and was surprised to see its only open 10am-8pm. One of our main goals is to finally ride RSR. Does anyone know if those Fastpasses are still running out pretty quickly?

    Thank you!
