Re: Does anyone else wish they would get rid of the Finding Nemo Ride?

I said it when they started the rebuild... if they just try to retell the movie... it's gonna suck. They did, and it does.

Disney had the opportunity to use the Nemo 'universe' and characters, and blend them into the setting that was the DL lagoon and tell an enjoyable, new story. Instead, they shoehorned the movie into the ride.. giving people nothing more then what they knew before they got in line. Hence, a waste.

How many people go out of their way to ride Nemo every visit??

don't think they've had mermaids since the 60s? Too much chlorine. There was a mouth of the mouse interview with one of the girls.

It might just be expectations, but the ride impressed me when I first saw it, though I wasn't expecting what I saw at all.

I can't imagine them losing the ride. It's Pixar's 2nd-biggest movie, and adjusted for inflation it's only $13 million behind Toy Story 3, in 2007 dollars--and it wasn't in 3D.

I think the ride is boring but people do like it, last time I was there, it had long lines for it. So keep it.

    However, they should update it.

here is a crazy idea guys, before nemo became popular, and the little mermaid ride even ever been brought up, do you think the little mermaid ride would have been there instead of nemo? and . just imagine guys the little mermaid under the sea submarine. then again this before and its just a simple opinion.

    Could have been fun.
    But wouldn't belong in TL.
The movie is far from futuristic. Unless somewhere in the subs they show how mermaid flippers can scientifically be changed to human legs (or vice versa, for those who want to become a mermaid).

    I don't think so.

Disney is just going through all the films and making a few extra bucks off the 3-D angle.
Lion King did well for them. I believe Beauty and the Beast did well too.
Unless Mermaid hits 3-D, prob. won't catch the rest.

Me, almost never. Rode it the first time, probably won't again unless someone I go with wants to. I know I'm probably one of the few that think this, but I don't like the ride. It seemed way too long when I rode it for what it was, I had to scoot up very close to the window to actually get a full view, and it seemed too confined and awkward with that many people. Just my opinion though. :/

Don't get rid of the attraction, just the crappy overlay. Make it smart, aim for all your audience Disney.
You are so dead in the water when you focus on just one age group.
I mean come-on, Disney used to be masters at not talking down to their audience, not so much anymore. Sad.

plausible, they could have just considered it part of fantasyland instead of tomorrowland.
