    AP renewal question

I was just wondering if anyone here has had this experience or might be knowledgeable about this...

I sent in my "renewal by mail" form for my PAP, but I sent it a bit late... my AP expires on 12/19 and I haven't received the new one yet. I just got a call from some friends who want me to meet up with them at DLR next Friday on 12/23. If my new AP doesn't come in time... is there a way I can get in for the day? Would they have a record at Guest Services of my renewal? Also, if they issue me the one-time courtesy pass for AP holders, will it allow for dining/merchandise discounts like my PAP?

    TIA!

    Re: AP renewal question

Don't know about that, but last week we renewed my daughter's AP at the ticket booth. They then sent her over to DCA customer service (out front) to get her pass. Well no one was there. They told her to come back later but didn't know what time anyone would man that window. Well they let her into DL with her renewal receipt, but we didn't know about
how she would get any FP with the rest of us. She went to the customer service window out front and they gave her a ticket that was good to get FP with all day. Later on, when we went to DCA, she picked up her AP.
    So, good luck.

    Re: AP renewal question

It sounds like what you might want to do is to call the AP renewal number and talk to someone and tell them your story. I'll bet if anything can be done, they will help you do it, or at least tell you what to do.

Depending on when you actualy mailed the renewal in, you migh also want to wait a couple of days, just give it time to get there.

For what it's worth, turnaround time is pretty good. 5-8 days, depending on how far away you are.

    Good luck!

    Re: AP renewal question

Thanks everyone for the replies and input... But I guess the point is moot because I'm happy to report that my new AP arrived in the mail today!! Talk about just in the nick of time, I'm sure glad I don't have to deal with it tomorrrow at Guest Services.

Although, I'm still curious about what would have happened...
