Next Logical Step In Evolution Of Churros: Special Flavored Centers?

Should we defy convention in persuit of better confections! My friends, I hold the contention that we've reached a new fork in the road, and need to strike out boldly in order to advance the ceispy, cinemony, sugar-coated treat without hestation or reservation. Together, we can move forward while while inspiring and empowering new generations to come to the table.


In other words, if Disneyland had Churros with flavired fillings, what would your feelings be? Personally, I feel that strawberry flavored filliings would not only be delicious, they would also feal delicious....as would custard filled. Again, how would you feel about flavor filled Churros? What would your flavorite flavor be?

I don't know how well flavors blend together, but having something reminiscent of a cheesecake would be pretty awesome, I think. I have to second the chocolate filling!

chocolate would be awesome! i thought the disney parks blog said the lunar new year festival was originally going to have chocolate churros? but then it looks like they just had the strawberry. sad.

vanilla custard would be good too. just the standard flavors. i can't really think of any more out-there flavors, plus, they're really likely to choose flavors that reach the broad audience of the park, so it seems simpler is better

You are correct that simple flavors appeal to broader audiences, tromo. that would be a first priorty as Disney gets lavor filled Churros going.

This is commonly done in areas with a heavy latino population, and having already tried most of those flavors let me tell you that a condensed milk filling is AMAZING! The heat of the churro warms the center and makes it really tasty! But strawberry, chocolate, and cherry are also winners. Disney could probably charge an additional $1+ just to add the filling to the churros on the spot!

I definitely do love a good slice of chocolate cheesecake! I'm trying to imagine what works well with cinnamon and I'm really at a loss. I can't imagine anything cheesecake being bad, though.

I actually liked the different flavored sugar they dipped them in when they had that.

It makes sense that filled churros started as a part of Latino culture. I'd love to try one with condensed milk as that really sounds like a different kind of delightful. Disney could indeed charge more, and guest would smile wider.

Some sort of powdered sugar I would suspect. Just maybe I'll dip one in powdered sugar sometime, and swallow it whole!

I think I read or saw somewhere that at one point Disneyland attempted selling strawberry flavored churros and another one........ yea, I remember now, it was in the "From the Mouth of the Mouse" article about the CM who worked in ODV, but that he said they rarely sold.

Other people on here are right though, churros filled with condensed milk are the best. A disneyland churro filled with condensed milk?? omgzzz i cant even imagine the joy
