    Cars Land Power Lines

I've noticed a few posts on power lines behind Cars Land and how it is such a distraction. I honestly have not seen them at all and I've looked. I'm wondering if they are really that bad, because i never noticed them at all.

    Re: Cars Land Power Lines

Since no one has actually been inside Cars Land yet to see if they are visible from there, the only place you can see power lines is from distant points with telephoto lenses. And you really have to know where to look. So don't feel bad if you can't see them.

One of the reasons that it's a "big deal" is that we can (with great cameras and lots of photographers) and do scrutinize every single detail of every single square inch of every single construction site. Nobody really pays any attention to the same issues in Disneyland because a) Walt Disney was there! b) it's been decades since construction happened c) Disneyland is 10000000 times more awesomer than DCA.

Power lines, green beams and (there was another one but it was so important I already forgot what it was) will eventually be forgotten over time.

You can see them from the upper level terrace at the winery, if you're looking. Ground level no and from the land definitely no (recent pictures from inside the land on certain sites and in the BSC show that). It's a necessary sight line issue DCA will always have to deal it. They've built the whole mountain range to help block them and have planted many of trees. It's really not an issue at all. That's not to say it won't bother some people because it will. Everyone who visits decides to concentrate on certain and ignore others. I've been to DCA plenty of times since the Cadillac Range has been built and honestly the only time I've ever noticed powerlines to the side of the mountain range is on pictures from fansites and the Alfresco Lounge on 2nd floor of winery. It's a big up to do about nothing. Bigger problem concerning powerlines IMO is the huge, visible tower right by the parade gate next to the ToT. They could definitely plant some trees there along the backstage road to help break it up a bit but nope lol.

You know it's funny - with all the talk about the power lines no one has noticed what should be obvious: if we can see into Cars Land from MFW then we will be able to see MFW from inside Cars Land.

I've yet to see a photo of the Route 66 Road/Pavement taken from MFW. We've only really seen the roofs and facades of Luigi/Lizzies.

And the photos from inside the land posted on the Disney Parks blog show a shot lookin towards the PP rides and the mountains block them. Plus, just because you can see the land from MFW doesn't mean you'll see MFW from the land. I can see the path going by GRR and Cobdor Flats from the wheel but can't see the wheel from those places (trees block it by GRR)

You can't see everything everywhere but you can see into Lizzie's front door, the side of Luigi's and almost all of the Cozy Cone area.

I have. Cadillac Range does an excellent job at hiding the powerlines. They're almost completely gone from view. IMO, the only people who will see powerlines in Cars Land are those going out of their way to look for them. The Imagineers did a really good job on this one.

Since there are fake power lines down the main street of CL I don't think some more off in the distance will be much of show killer.
