FIREWORKS WENT OFF 10 Minutes before the Show

Two fireworks went off 10 minutes before the how. RDCT has been cancelled. Hopefully no one is injured. Let's hope it's not another incident like back in December.

Firework misfire today, no word of injured but all of northern backstage has been locked down until further notice. Fireworks were canceled. Multiple explosions heard and seen. Will give more info when I find out.

The Magic, The Memories and You played at 7:45 PM which was way before the incident happened as its reported to have happened 10 min before the RDCT (it was supposed to start at 8:40).

They don't shoot fireworks to see if its too windy. They release test balloons for that purpose.

I thought this too, but I was there last Friday and was shocked that they pulled the plug so early....IMMEDIATELY after the magic, memories and you went off. Someone skipped the balloons last friday and decided to pull the plug I'm assuming, due to the smoke drift following the MM&Y show. I remember being very puzzled at that thinking because usually canceling the fireworks, especially on a weekend, is a game time decision. There was barely a breeze going when they cancelled them although the forecast was for stronger winds. In fact, just the week before I was up in the treehouse and noticed the strong breeze through the branches was pretty sure they would cancel them, but they let them go maybe 10-15 minutes late. That's what I was expecting on Friday, but someone killed them early. I really don't understand why that happened.

Was there a show LAST night? If not, that show has been sitting there loaded since at least Friday night. It sounds like the same type of mishap as the one that happened in December. Hmmmmm.....

I was there last night and the show was cancelled too. I heard that its due to the air being dry and too much static electricity.

Yeah.....I heard the now-familiar BOOMS from my window, and noticed the time. Thought it was a little early then went back to ripping music to my pc. I didn;t notice that it didn't continue until catching this thread. Hope things are cleared up by next Saturday as we're going with a big group.

More importantly I hope there weren't any injuries to cast members or guests
