time for jumpin jelly and zepher to go ?

anyone else think that its time to Retire the Jumpin Jelly Fish and the Golden Zepher ? it doesnt blend in at all with the new paradise peir...i think the time has come to remove these two and possibly build another small attraction to fit the area. it may have to be on a scale of a fair ride but still, it could be themed after a carnival ride from the 20s....

The Golden Zephyr fits perfectly with the new theme in my opinion because it's themed after similar rides that have been in operation for over a hundred years.

I could say otherwise about Jumpin' Jellyfish though. lol

While not the most thrilling ride, the Golden Zephyr definitely adds to the ambiance of the area. It is the only ride of its kind still operating in the United States. All it needs is to have its queue dressed up a little and some less modern looking signage installed and it fits right in. I wish there could be something done about the wind issue, but I'd rather have an attraction that occasionally closes due to winds than to not have this type of attraction available in the US at all. I wouldn't mind if JJ was rethemed and moved to Bug's Land.

^Bug's Land won't do well I think, you will rise ABOVE the 'looking small like an ant' theming ruining the illusion (Fun Wheel can do it because it IS a ferris wheel, but I think it will look out of place in Bug's Land)

as much as the ride building/station whatever.. looks alot like silly swings... i much rather have the zepher look like the picture above... btw i didnt know it was a classic ride, or that it was the only one of its kind left in the us... i just thought it was a really stupid ride someone at TDA threw together lol

I could totally see the parachutes working for this area. Make it look more classic like what Knott's used to offer….

Jellyfish can go. But the Zephyr should stay. It fits the theme.

Another vote for them staying. They fit the theme perfectly, add color and movement to the area and kids like them a lot.

Yes, yes, Oh, God, yes! It is timefor them to go! Sorry to those who like them, but I've always thought they were terrible, and not worthy of being in a Disney park. Get rid of them, and put in something good and creative.

there are more than enough rides at the resort that take you in a circle. Up and down is no better.

    Am I being clear here?

IMO I am not a fan of that corner of DCA. Goofy's Sky School the new eating area JJ, GZ,SSS just all of it. I do ride GSS because it is fun but the overall area just seems blah to me.

I get your point, and I didn't realize the history of rides like this, but that still doesn't make it a great ride. It's tough for me to think of an entire section not worth going to as an adult at Disneyland. But this area of CA Adventure is that for me.

I just think that a ride where you get in a giant silver thing and slowly spin around is below par at Disney.

The fact that it rarely runs is pretty insane too.

Zephyr is cool and actually fun, but Jellyfish is horrid. My favorite part about it is the gradated colors on the towers and the old school blinking lights at the top. I USED to like the original music created for the attraction but they no longer play it.

And what would replace them? If they were removed it'd likely become another "park" or additional space for WoC viewing.

    They should stay.
